90% of this is me.. I totally don’t cope with afternoon appointments! I have a vet one this afternoon and I’m struggling to get stuff done waiting for it!

Hey @Captain24, I've been a busy bee and feels like I haven't been on the Forums all week! Love the conversation you've been having with Jynx. It's super cool to see you reflecting on this stuff.

I reckon you could pretty easily make those picky pads and then be able to reuse the stones, beads or whatever is in them. Just a thought though 😊 I always have to keep my hands busy too. Most of my hyperactivity is in my brain or in my hands (not literally, but it's just what I seem to move the most).

I think our whole lives can be viewed as "works in progress". Maybe more like art that is a work in progress though. That feels more compassionate. Figuring out what you want to prioritise can be hard. I struggle with that sometimes. It can be very hard to separate all our stuff though, to be able to focus on just one or two things, because they're all so connected. I don't generally like to give too much advice, but I think maybe self-compassion can help with everything ♥️

Based on what you've said about your sexuality it sounds like you're part of the LGBTQIA+ community, and very much queer. Welcome to the party! I do agree with Jynx around their being some erasure (or lack of acknowledgement) of certain sexualities and them not being seen as real or "queer enough". But like I said earlier, "if you aren't a heterosexual, heteroromantic, cisgender person then you probably fit into the queer / LGBTQIA+ community." That would mean YOU 🌈

Totally relate to the paralysis of having an afternoon appointment! It's probably part of the reason why I often stay in bed very late when I have an appointment later in the day.

I'm going on a holiday for a couple of weeks, so you won't see me around for a while. I'll share some beach photos when I get back 🏖☀️

Im not sure if you are still around but I want to wish you an awesome holiday and hope that it’s a really good break for you and a reset!

Jynx always makes me look inside myself. They are the one who seems to get me so much. Most of our chats are deep and in depth!

Mine is my brain too and I have to fiddle, I’m just starting to learn ways to fiddle safely and helpfully!

I just seem to have so much going through my head that I have to work on and it gets really overwhelming! At the moment my brain won’t stop. It won’t stop to let me sleep. It’s just in the go constantly, so much noise! I feel wired and unsettled all the time lately.

It is all connected. Each part that I need to work on I need to do it so it’s works with the next part. But the next part needs to work with other parts. They all intertwine! That was just exhausting typing it.

I don’t know how to prioritise. Maybe I need to get some guidance in that. Hopefully it will help.

Thanks for understanding my, hmmm queer unsettled identity. It’s something that I have never said in my real life and probably never well, not even to my gay best friend.

I despise afternoon appointments. I have an afternoon Telehealth appointment with my surgeon and it’s an afternoon that I need to be asleep for work and they can’t tell me a time yet! Autism wants organisation!!!

My day has been great, I spent most of it moving (and sweating) but now relaxing. How has your day been?

Does your household all stim together? not sure , I am still learning as my husband has had lots of different diagnosis and the latest one is ASD and now I can see it in the adult children now
