Recovering from a psychotic episode at the moment.

Recovering from a psychotic episode at the moment.

Friday, the week before last, the voices in my head began taking over and soon after that i lost touch with my reality off and on until later Tuesday morning.Thank God i did nothing stupid, nor did i damage my relationship with my wife, as has happened in times past when psychotic.

Since late Tuesday morning no more voices, so that is good, but i'm so very tired and still not able to sleep. The problem i'm paranoid to drug myself out, because sleepers often don't work when i'm like this, and then i still wont be able to sleep, but will feel absolutely horrible from the sleepers confusing and clouding my mind, still running non stop anyhow. So when i take sleepers when in this state i run the real risk of making things worse rather helping me get some rest.

Hey 3am

Currently i'm having real problems sleeping as my mind wont stop!!!😪 i know from past psychotic times, i best let the mental energy flow run its natural course as much as possible, until my mind calms down enough to get more sleep.

Anyone else runs in these problems?

@Bunniekins Thanks a lot for caring and reaching out.

i'm feeling miserable really. One of our goslings disappeared, now we only have one more left.😢 And my wife is working today, so i'm on my own, which makes this down a little harder to cope with.

Such adds to the tears welling this morning😭

i see depression fry my emotions today!

Hello @DownMoreThanUp @Bunniekins

Sorry to hear you're stressed @DownMoreThanUp. You've been through a lot. I think sometimes it takes a while for the body to catch up.

I feel a bit wobbly myself. Last couple of days I've revisited my February relapse because I was discharged by the surgeon who did the procedure that started the snowballing into my episode.

I'm very sorry you've lost the gosling, hopefully the other will be OK. Here in Melbourne the famous Collins St falcons have just had 3 nestlings hatch. People follow them on livestream.

@Dimity hey Dimity sorry to hear times are tough for you also. hugs and hugs to you both @DownMoreThanUp . Maybe gosling was hiding somewhere? we had ducks for a number of years the kids loved them and so did i tbh. such characters. i remember the place where we purchased them had geese on patrol protecting the ducks and ducklings. nobody messes with a mama goose!

@Dimity @Bunniekins No, i wish this was so, sadly it is gone. We have lot of animals that prey on young. Last year a duck lost 14 ducklings in one day just on crows. admittedly she was first time mum, the mum duck that followed must have learned, for she kept her brood intact for a quiet few days, before the crows court on where she hid them and ducklings began to be missing. She lost 50 percent of them in the end, (6 out of 12,) for those ducklings, being a few days older, turned out to be harder to catch.

Nevertheless the crows young were very well fed. So now they can prey on the young swimming around this year, along with their parents.🤔

(i do feel a better than this morning for at least the nausea has settled down.)

i do like it when i see Eagles, or other bigger birds of prey, catch their kills. Which i have in the past, though the time i saw an Sea Eagle take a little Lamb from next door, i felt a rather sad for it.

(Not my photo, but i did see an Eagle take a lamb once

When I was at the zoo, we had to navigate sentimentality with actual animal behaviour a lot. We also had to be careful about visitor engagement and pitch things in age appropriate ways. I still am grateful for all the connections with different species that being at the zoo so much gave me. We had to sometimes grieve and sometimes manage the aggression of the animals. I found calmness in reflection of the web of life (also my old biology book) and the whole of creation.

Although i'm pretty far down today i have not been accused like i used to be when down here. Which has only recently began to happen when i'm so down and out.

i've been mainly feeling sad and teary with myself. For admittedly i have also been feeling a little irritable with the fact the good mood from a few days ago is gone. This has had me seeking to hold onto Good Life so i may gain Good Life's ability to take on bad life with grace not to create more, like i have done so often becoming angry or rage.😡

i'm after the ability to endure bad life, instead of becoming angry with my fate, as i have so often. This is why i have been sharing my feelings of irritability with Good Life trying to hold on to Good Life feeling bad. 😰

Hearing you about the desire to have the grace to deal with the emotional ups and downs and injustices of life. @DownMoreThanUp

I am never sure when to simply accept the many fait accompli… around me… but it seems lately, my purpose is to speak up and push back a bit. Anger is a complex emotion to repeatedly have to work through, but it can be anchored in truth and energy. Our individual paths and personalities mean there are not simplistic answers about managing it.

Early in life, I avoided being angry for many reasons, including seeing a lot around me, and finding it a way of being, that I didn’t like and associated with bullying. It was also not possible to be heard, so I sucked it up, a la Aussie battler. However, decades later, my journey seems to be INTEGRATING my shadow side, recognising my anger as natural, when it arises, and finding ways to utilise the energy and insight. God it’s hard.
