Recovering from a psychotic episode at the moment.

Recovering from a psychotic episode at the moment.

Friday, the week before last, the voices in my head began taking over and soon after that i lost touch with my reality off and on until later Tuesday morning.Thank God i did nothing stupid, nor did i damage my relationship with my wife, as has happened in times past when psychotic.

Since late Tuesday morning no more voices, so that is good, but i'm so very tired and still not able to sleep. The problem i'm paranoid to drug myself out, because sleepers often don't work when i'm like this, and then i still wont be able to sleep, but will feel absolutely horrible from the sleepers confusing and clouding my mind, still running non stop anyhow. So when i take sleepers when in this state i run the real risk of making things worse rather helping me get some rest.

Hey 3am

Currently i'm having real problems sleeping as my mind wont stop!!!😪 i know from past psychotic times, i best let the mental energy flow run its natural course as much as possible, until my mind calms down enough to get more sleep.

Anyone else runs in these problems?

much appreciated @AuntGlow @DownMoreThanUp @Dimity my friend gave me lemons (I do have a weird synchronicity with my forum life and in person life) and I bought plants for the plant stand at the fete. I forgot to put garlic in soup even though I went to shop for it. I might cancel tomorrow morning and turn inward. I can tell that friend I have a funeral, though I was going to try and squeeze everything in. Priorities.

appreciate you letting down your mask and sharing with us @Appleblossom 💙

i feel you with the people pleasing as well - although there are times i can avoid it, there other times where it's hard not to care. i do hope you're able to be gentle with yourself. you're doing your best and that counts for a lot✨

i also hope the funeral attendance goes smoothly today.

I think making time for you is more than okay right now, in fact, it's necessary. @Appleblossom

Is the funeral today? 💛

Yes, @AuntGlow I was vulnerable at the beginning, but have deep respect for the ritual healing possible in funerals. I had a psychologist zoom just after it and a friend was there. My son was sensitive about it. So I am grateful for my inner circle.

I really like that perspective @Appleblossom, and I am so happy for you have support around you right now. Are you doing anything to nurture yourself today? 💛

@Appleblossom Psychosis wise not too badly. A lot less voices than been and hardly any hallucinations, though still some anxiety at the beginning of the week, it is not bad now. Struggling with nausea and feeling drained this morning though.

Took lots of stuff for the nausea, as well as put a nicotine patch to increased my energy levels. Hopefully this will help make me feel a little better later on the day.

i hope you are also doing okay? i hope you had no bad after effects from the funeral? Good to see that you understand the value of funerals. We have learned to understand the importance of closer even more so than we did already, through our Down Syndrome daughter, and how much it helps her to finalising her relationship with those who she knew well but have died burying them.
