Our Dream Trip

Our Dream Trip

@Glisten @AlwaysMyself

I created this thread so we can talk about our dream trip, but if you'd prefer just to chat on already established threads that's cool too.

Father gave me this piece of advice when I was about 15 so I'm not sure that Steve Tyler was the first to say it 😋

@Shaz51 love your photos. @ENKELI the bottom photo looks like a place called Lane Pool near Dwellingup.

Re: Our Dream Trip

royal ancestry!? that's pretty cool @avant-garde

@Shaz51 @avant-garde did you learn about your ancestry from family members, or have you done one of those ancestry tests before?

Re: Our Dream Trip

@ENKELI Las Vegas at night was an experience.

I did put $10 through the pokies and $10 on roulette just to say I have gambled in Las Vegas!!

I don't gamble either. Haven't been near the pokies since 😁

I have got back to 1500 on one side of my family

Re: Our Dream Trip

@avant-garde @Shaz51 @rav3n my family were the kings of Ireland bank in the 10th century. The story goes that the king of our tribe was battling another tribe for ownership of a part of Ireland.

TW: violence and death

Content/trigger warning
So the king cut off his hand and threw it onto the land thereby claiming it as his own.

I can't go into more specifics unfortunately as it would give away my former surname but when my family visited Ireland and mentioned the surname they were treated very well!
I should be more interested in Ireland and Scotland because of my heritage but I really am not. I'd rather visit other places that have beautiful landscapes. I'd do the Canadian Rockies again for sure.
