Sibling grief - I recently lost my brother - death by suicide

hi all,

I recently lost my dear brother to suicide. We are 14 months apart in age.

this past week, there has been a stream of condolences and as much as I understand their intended kindness to allievate my pain, these well wishes don’t understand, that yes I am heart broken by his passing, but I am also re-experiencing this disenfranchised grief of losing my brother to severe mental illness, this has been so very isolating and traumatic for so long. My wound did not begin three weeks ago, and I can’t be bothered listening to their advice or stories or anything really. I’ve politely replied via text, but I cannot give anymore. I’m now 45 and my brother 46, our parents both passed. I have no interest in being consoled by those who have no idea, as I am not consoled during this, rather I’m listening to them. I haven’t quite found the words, I feel more ease in my solitude at present. Anyone else had a similar experience or thoughts.? Thank you

@tyme no Thankyou ill look into unwellness this afternoon collapsed pass out from barometric pressure pain, my mum never heard me when I came to i called her to help me it's my birthday today I had the best morning and bag chronic health literally put me on the floor. Off to bed to rest night thank you again

Oh thank you 😊 I can barely walk from my fall yesterday taking it slow i had a somatic breathwork session this afternoon that was lovely 90 minutes of learning to breath and communicationg with my body through energies and stomach rising and falling it certainly bought calmness and heart chest felt like the breath was going deeper.

I hope everyone else is having a nice evening happy full moon tomorrow

I just read your opening post, and felt for you when you mentioned the brother sister soul entanglement… I lost my brother to suicide nearly 30 years ago. Grief work is unique for the person passed and the person living. Finding ways to live your own life, and eventually carry them in your soul and imagination that does justice to you both. Suicide is a most difficult grief. Photos, rituals, mementos, and journaling can help. Take care

@tyme im in shock I've just discovered im experiencing domestic violence overwhelmed I've had some counselling taking some me time blown away loss trust 😔
