Sane Tour De Aus!

Sane Tour De Aus!

@AlwaysMyself

Here is a thread where we can support each other to use our mini cycles.

I plan to watch tv while I do it. I might put some of the big world’s cycling races on the telly on SBS on demand while I do it. I need to decide how often I want to try and use it.

Day 7 Tour de Aus,

at the end of our first week!

Congratulations on a massive effort, getting moving after being on the couch peleton is really hard. Well done on all your efforts. I am going to do my cycling today after Tafe.

Resting after a big therapy session can be an important part of self-care too @DogMan79 . We can celebrate that you were able to participate in therapy, even when it was difficult and/or exhausting. That is not failure!!

I wonder if setting the bar lower would help on tiring days?

E.g. 30seconds even!

It might sound pointless, but I know for me it would help me on a tired day to not feel like a complete failure for not being able to do 5min, if I could say that I sat down and did 1 peddle.

But I also know that the way I think if often atypical and may not apply to others lol 😅😅. Learning how to hack our own brains is good though.

I ended up having a rest day for day 7 because I decided to go to bed early.

Re: Sane Tour De Aus!

Well done yesterday @DogMan79 and @Oaktree .

I got into bed last night and *then* realised I hadn't done a cycle - but yeah I wasnt going to get up and do it hahaha.

*but* instead (since today is not busy or tiring) I did make sure to do 10minutes already on the cycle! 🙂 so I feel I have made up for yesterday 😊

Plus (yay me) I put away a few items in my spare room. Its still full of boxes from moving months ago. A few items is better than none.

Yay for you @AlwaysMyself

I haven’t done my cycling yet today.
Just taking a break after having done an assessment for TAFE.

Hope to get it done this arvo.

Re: Sane Tour De Aus!

I did my cycling earlier today ☺️ @Oaktree @DogMan79 @ENKELI

I'm proud of myself for doing a bit every day (except one) 😊 because I dont get any enjoyment/pleasure out of it, but im doing it anyway because i know it is good for my muscles.

Day 11 Tour de Aus.

I have had a bit of a lapse. 3 rest days since Friday. I was so busy yesterday that I was too tired to think about cycling. I will do it after I get home from my psychologist.

Re: Sane Tour De Aus!

Well done @AlwaysMyself

I don’t do it for pleasure either.

In fact I kind of hate exercising

Most people say you feel better after a walk but I really don’t.
