Sane Tour De Aus!

Sane Tour De Aus!

@AlwaysMyself

Here is a thread where we can support each other to use our mini cycles.

I plan to watch tv while I do it. I might put some of the big world’s cycling races on the telly on SBS on demand while I do it. I need to decide how often I want to try and use it.

Re: Sane Tour De Aus!

@AlwaysMyself @Oaktree @DogMan79 I like to listen to 80s music while cycling so it might have been me who suggested it.

I have exacerbated a pre-existing back injury so I'm taking a pass today. I'm annoyed at myself because I knew I was not lifting a heavy box properly. I'm hoping I'll be back tomorrow.

It definitely is good having this thread to remind and encourage.

Great work at 7 mins @AlwaysMyself, I am still at 5.

I'm going along with the group @DogMan79, especially as I had to miss tonight myself.

I think the best thing about this awesome group is that we're here to encourage each other.

Like many others here in Saneland, I berate myself when I don't achieve what I set out to do so having a safe place to admit we are human is important for me.

Well done everyone, we are going great guns! 🤗💜

@ENKELI

So sorry to hear that you have upset a pre-existing injury. I hope a rest day or two will have you feeling a bit better hun. Maybe try a nice hot shower or bath.

Definitely having this little group for support and accountability is a great thing. It is definitely helping me to have people to report back to.

Re: Sane Tour De Aus!

I keep getting distracted

Wattles are blooming in Melbourne

Melbourne doesn't fit 4 seasons https://www.herringisland.org/seasons1.htm

And wattles blooming is a sign that winter depression will lift

My new GP seems just okay. Not the most trauma informed, a bit "Bull in a china shop". But out of the locals who I emailed, he's the only one who didn't put me straight in the too hard basket

I'm about to do my cycle for the day. I might put on eye of the tiger, which should be roughly 3 minutes. Which is about my limit

Long ride for me

Day Four SANE Tour de Aus,

I just did my cycling.

I feel like the tour is going quite well.

Thanks for being a part of it.

@DogMan79

Sorry your new GP is not amazing.

At least, as you say, you are not in the too hard basket.

Well done on your cycling.

Re: Sane Tour De Aus!

Well done @Oaktree and @DogMan79 , and i hope @ENKELI your back gets a bit better each day with rest - ouchie!

I nearly forgot to do it today, had such a long day. But I made sure to do it before coming to bed, because I knew I could do it and I didnt want to have to say I just didnt feel like after a long day 😅. (I was go-go-go today until 730pm, but had chill time after 730)

It felt like I did 5 minutes, but the machine said 15minutes. So im not sure if reading the forum while cycling just passed time quick, or if I misread the display and it was showing something other than time 🤷‍♀️. It can be a mystery for now.

Day 5 Sane Tour de Aus

I am on my mini cycle now, about halfway through. How are you all travelling? Do you feel like you need a rest day? No judgement…

Re: Sane Tour De Aus!

@Oaktree I might go do it now

Dunno if I picked up a virus at the GP clinic on Monday. I'm very lethargic. Will RAT Test before therapy tomorrow

Did the SANE guided service intake call today, then promptly got reallocated a different worker, since I know the first from another peer service

Today's cycle will likely be nothing to write home about. If I manage 2 minutes, I'll be surprised

@DogMan79

Oh no!

Sorry you are feeling lethargic.

I hope it’s nothing too serious.

Please keep me up to date with how you go with the guided service. I haven’t got any experience with that. I have done recovery club. I would do that again but have no time at the moment.
It doesn’t matter how little time you manage. You are also able to take a rest day if you can’t manage it today!

I hope you feel better soon.

Also, what are the chances that you would know your worker? Small world
