Tillogram

Hi All

@tyme @AuntGlow @Jynx @rav3n @MJG017 @NightFury @Shaz51 @MissGremlin @Appleblossom @Dimity and many others I have accidentally forgotten to tag

Just letting people know I am back safely from my trip.

I had a great trip, my sport event was brilliant and then I travelled a little bit.

Not sure how much engagement I will have with forums as only just returned to this cold weather!

I'm not sure what's been happening, but I hope everyone is well.

Re: Tillogram

Hey @Till23 , If you don't mind me asking, are there any Aboriginal Health Services that may be able to provide the support you need at the moment?

I've been told their services are quite different to traditional services.

Only a thought. No pressure of course.

Re: Tillogram

Hi @tyme not too bad today. I have been helped a lot by it being a sunny day, despite being freezing in the morning. Also I got a load of washing of sheets and towels dry and a few other things done. So at least feel I have achieved something.

I hope you are going well.

Re: Tillogram

The sun sounds lovely @Till23 . Glad you are feeling a little better today.

I'm sure you feel confused and sad about ending your therapeutic relationship. There is certainly a level of grief that comes with this that I can relate to.

Despite the reasoning given to you, we may never know why the therapist has made this decision.

Would it help to work with some of these thoughts? That is, do you think there is a chance that the therapist will change her mind? And if not, what can you do to work through this?

I don't have answers, but perhaps just things to think about.

Also, thank you for sharing re the Aboriginal Health Service. I haven't looked into the 3 part definition for being Aboriginal. I just hoped that if you were eligible, that you consider accessing the services - I've heard really good things about the service.

Any way, besides that, anything in particular you want to chat about tonight?

Re: Tillogram

Hi again @tyme @AuntGlow I set my self the task of getting up early(ish) and getting things done today.

I felt I needed to have some achievements under my belt to help to make me feel a bit better.

Also I suppose as a bit of a distraction for what's happened lately and is about to happen.

So I would like to discuss that if possible

Content/trigger warning

I added this after 10pm when it became too late

I wanted to chat about a pretty anxiety provoking thing that is happening tomorrow which will almost certainly affect my MH in a negative way as disclosures tend to, to maybe discuss some strategies, with someone, as I didn't have time to discuss with pysch and now there's not time here. But in the scheme of things, it's probably not an appropriate place to discuss. My MH does decline as the eveining wears on, but it's up to me to find strategies to alleviate that.

Anyhow I suppose I've decided that really I am responsible for my own MH.
I shouldn't be bothering other people with it, when there are people who need assistance or a space more than me - sorry to have wasted your time

Sorry this post is so long.

Two questions, ok three

1. I know SANE runs seminars, can you attend them if you are not in the Guided Recovery Service?

2. Last night I saw you made some amazing disclosures about your past, at the time I found them useful, but I can't find which thread they are in now - can you point me in the right direction

3. Even though there seems to be a shortage of PSWs currently SANE express says they are currently not taking on any people. I have been thinking about doing a course. I have post-graduate level degrees, so would get into any course that is appropriate to study. Uni of Southern Queensland seems to have one that also includes neuroscience, which is fully online any advice?

Re: Tillogram

Thank you @Till23 💛💛

I am really glad you have secure housing, it truly helps so much to feel grounded - when home is a safe base, other things feel more manageable.

I am looking forward to hearing what they say, when is your appointment?

I would say you're being redirected towards someone who can meet you where you're at, to help you receive the best possible support. ☺️

Have they made any suggestions around who you could go to next?

Re: Tillogram

Hi @AuntGlow @tyme I posted on this thread at about 8pm on Wednesday night. Or just after @tyme replied to my message I think it was around 8pm

My post has completely disappeared. It was there and then I edited it at about 10.15pm when I realised the PSWs would have logged off, so what I wrote had become irrelevant - now post is gone.

So I don't know what happened there.

I suppose I will just try and put one foot in front of the other until I can no longer do that, what else can you do.

Thanks for your assistance in the past.

Re: Tillogram

Hey @Till23 I'm hearing how distressing it was to have that post disappear on top of everything else you were experiencing last night. We're still trying to work through those bugs and are really hoping to have it resolved soon! Letting us know when this happens helps us to report it and hopefully resolve it, so thank you for letting us know.

It can be really difficult when things do get busy on the forums, but it sounds like this gave you a chance to reflect and lean on your coping strategies. That's awesome that you're able to do that, and it sounds like you're pretty resourceful and able to work through how you're feeling tonight after that appointment, but if you do want to talk it through we're here to listen

Re: Tillogram

I do remember that I asked some questions of @tyme I will try to remember:

1. I know Sane have webinars that people in Guided Recovery service go to, but I was wondering if other people can attend those Webinars, and if so, how do you find out what's on and when?

2. You posted some of your own story of recovery in responding to some one else, when I read it, I thought I would revisit because I thought it had some things that might be applicable and helpful to me, but I can't remember which thread it was in

3. Although there currently appears to be a shortage of PSWs on forums. when I click on the link about helping ouy Sane, it says not currently recruiting for PSW - it may be that there are plenty in training but just not on forums yet.

I think there is a course that is recommended if you want to do PSW

Thanks in advance (I'm not sure when you are back on forums again)
