Angry and alone
Hi. I know I should write some sort of intro but just don't really know what there is to say.
I'm feeling angry and alone and like there's no one who cares.

@TheVorticon I am sorry to hear you are missing your online not-really-friends. I can certainly relate to the pain of grieving for lost relationships. I'm really glad that you found your way to Forum Land. I really value your presence on the forums.

I think I'm over the bit of a "boo hoo" I was having. It was a silly one - I was feeling pumped to get back into learning to skateboard and wanted to talk about how it's been going and stuff, but haven't found anyone to do that with. Some of my old not-really-friends would've been able to talk about it. I found a reddit thread for new skaters but it's not really a place for actual conversations.
But never mind, it's all g.

@TheVorticon I can relate to feeling down about not having anyone to share positive fun stuff with. I think that part of being socially isolated often gets missed. We all know it is super hard to have no one to share difficult stuff with, but it is also super hard not having anyone to share positive stuff with.

I don't think it's silly, to want to be able to talk to people about something you are interested in @TheVorticon. I feel it at the moment with my crafty stuff I am doing. I would love to be able to talk overlay crochet stitches with someone, but that's a tricky one to find people to chat to about. In the meantime I will settle for half kind of talking about it here.
While I know nothing at all about skateboarding, I do really enjoy hearing about adventures, especially ones that involve learning cool new things, and would happily listen along if you want to chat. I know it's not the same thing, but if you want to share sometime I am interested in hearing. I am definitely interested in hearing whether you did end up finding a new spot with no man in van with dog by the way?!
Logging off for the night now to snuggle my cat and watch some (probably rubbish) on my laptop because I am not feeling so great tonight. I will come past tomorrow though (and keep an eye in the future too) in case you decide to share how you're going with it.

Wrote this out before the tech issues this evening, so I'm posting it anyway 😛
@CheerBear @Phoenix_Rising yeah it's tough to not have people to share fun interests with. I hope both of you can find places to talk about fun stuff too.
CheerBear - I actually tried crocheting for a bit a few years ago (shh don't tell anyone, it was for a project I was doing) and just looked up what overlay was. Looks pretty neat and intricate, although I can't imagine what I'd ever need to use it for haha. Hope your night improved and you had a good day today.
Phoenix_Rising - Sorry to hear that you've got lonely feelings at the moment. I hope the wave passes soon.
