Angry and alone

Angry and alone

Hi. I know I should write some sort of intro but just don't really know what there is to say.

I'm feeling angry and alone and like there's no one who cares.

Hi @TheVorticon,

I saw your post in the Worry Room. I'm sorry to hear you're feeling sad.

What are you up to tonight? Are you ok?

Re: Angry and alone

Supposed to have dinner, get groceries, play some pokemon go. Currently doing none of those things.

I'm not really ok but it's fine.

You know what's bullshit though, is intentionally trying to deal with getting no replies by posting shit in the "worry room" thread, but instead having this thread bumped only to feel ignored afterwards. 100% defeats the purpose. Question and bloody dump, good stuff. I backed off cause I know people needed more help than I did. The concept of "support" is bloody laughable in general.

Re: Angry and alone

Hi @Former-Member
No you're not one of the people I'm annoyed with.

I didn't tag you because I don't like tagging people when I'm upset. It seems inappropriate to drag people into my giant whinge fest.
In my mind I'd replied to your original message, you replied back, and it seemed like the end of the conversation unless the topic moved on to how I was doing - due to that response being negative, I posted without tagging.

I also find it hard to maintain ongoing conversations and get bogged down when it seems like there's too many points to address (and sometimes "too many" = 1) which can sometimes be another reason that I'll drop off from a conversation and not tag anyone in my next mope-athon.

Hopefully that makes some form of sense. If not, let me know if you'd like.

Glad that your reunion went better than expected, although not that it was a source of angst throughout the week.

Re: Angry and alone

Hey @TheVorticon

Just wanted to say that I'm sorry to hear you've felt ignored and maybe even alone at times. I can see why that wouldn't feel good, especially on a thread about being alone.

How was your day today? (no pressure to answer this by the way)

Hope your weekend is going ok so far

Re: Angry and alone

Thanks @CheerBear. I know I'm not very personable. I know how I am, and given that I don't know how to be any other way, I don't expect anyone to want anything to do with me. So thanks for stopping by. I saw your adventures with the turtle and it seemed like you had a busy day, so it was good to see that you found time for some self-care-like stuff. How're you doing now?

I was alright for the first part of today, but it's gone downhill. Dancing and singing along with Stevie Wonder's Don't you worry bout a thing isn't doing the job, so I don't hold great hopes for the rest of the night.

Re: Angry and alone

@TheVorticon - I see you as having a really good sense of humour and I also see kindness (that care package moment for example). I can understand why you might feel angry and frustrated sometimes, because the world and some of the people in it kind of suck sometimes. I'm hoping to take up something like kickboxing soon, because I get angry too.

I'm going ok at the moment thanks. In total just get through however mode, but that sort of works for me at the moment.

Sorry to hear things have gone downhill for you today/tonight. Have you got plans for the rest of the night or is it a wing it kind of thing?

Re: Angry and alone

I super like you @TheVorticon. I see you riding the giant waves with me. You don't HAVE to do that and the fact that you choose to shows me that you care.

Re: Angry and alone

It actually took me awhile to find a care package pic that was acceptable @CheerBear. It was either too military which I didn't think you'd like, or too icky-sticky-fluffy-scented-candle-ish for me to contemplate using. 😛
Sometimes I can be kind, sometimes I just read and would like to have something to offer but just don't have anything, but sometimes some personalities (not yours, if clarification is needed) just rub me up the wrong way when they're just being themselves. They mightn't be doing anything wrong, but something just sets me right off and I don't understand why other people don't have the same reaction. It's good that they don't, but remains a source of confusion.

Kickboxing would be interesting, hopefully you can find a class/session to go to. I don't think I could stomach doing something with other people 😛 So my version of kickboxing would just involve kicking empty boxes in some sort of maze (because why not?), which sounds more fun come to think of it.

My Plan A for tonight was to go out for a walk 4 hours ago, to do the dishes 3 hours ago, and to go to bed 2 hours ago. Didn't make a Plan B, but if I had, it wouldn't have included "dealing with SH/SI stuff". That's more Plan Z material, if anything.

Glad to hear that you're going ok and that getting through is working for you right now. Seems like you're doing the best thing for yourself and the Little Fish, which is something to be proud of.

I do care @Phoenix_Rising. Thanks. Wishing you safe surfing tonight.

Re: Angry and alone

Haha - I think that's what I really liked about the care package @TheVorticon. I sort of picked you as a not so fluffy icky candly kind of person so I really loved the gesture 🙂

I can understand personalities rubbing the wrong way. I suppose it's hard to really know the reaction others might be having here because we can't see much beyond the words. So maybe you're not so alone in your reaction and others may be reacting too and either putting it to the side and not expressing it or staying well away as well. Who really knows what's happening beyond the screen!

Plans not working out can be so frustrating 😕 Plan Z stuff is tough. I know that in this one too you're definitely not alone here, but that it can also be really hard to find something that feels supportive at the time. Is there anything you've found here that's been particularly supportive in the past?
