Angry and alone
Hi. I know I should write some sort of intro but just don't really know what there is to say.
I'm feeling angry and alone and like there's no one who cares.

I'm not sure where things will go. I'm both predator and prey tonight - my thoughts of harm are directed towards myself. It's at least a known quantity. But I suppose dinner would also be a start.

@TheVorticon dinner would be a great start. What's in the fridge and pantry?

sorry @TheVorticon. I got waylaid looking up something on google.
Im guessing by now your pizza has been cooked and eaten. I love my home made pizza. But I cheated tonight and bought one from the pizza shop. Good for when I'm tired or not having a great day. But nowhere near as tasty as my own home made.
My boy loves to put meat meat and meat on his pizzas. The more meat varieties - the better for him. lol.
Me I prefer to keep it a little more simple. A good tomoto base, then sprinkle on some Oregano. Some onion, Cheese and Salami. Deliscious.

No probs @utopia.
I was meant to make a batch and freeze them, but have just been making and eating them one by one. Do you ever make your own bases? I usually just use pita bread, although my grocery store had one of those days when it's inexplicably out of the main thing I'd planned on getting. So I had to buy some real bases instead. Can you believe they only had store-brand pepperoni and salami as well (which are gritty and oily and incorrectly coloured - I'm a fan of some store-brand things, but not these!)
Pizza shop pizza still works on days like that. Haha I used to enjoy bbq meat lovers or bbq chicken, but current fav is pepperoni w/ tomato paste if I'm getting it from a store.
I like most pizza but can't get on board with the fancy schmancy ones. And no olives or mushrooms.

@TheVorticon. I had to laugh at that. My son placed the pizza order, and I was yelling out to him, "No Olives"
I often buy corn raps or pita bread to make my pizzas. If the shop runs out of these, I will just use normal bread. Small, but you can fit 6 slices of bread on a baking tray.
Sometimes even just a base of tomoto with some cheese and small bits of bacon rashes, done in the oven. Deliscious.
I can't understand Chicken on Pizza. To me it is just wrong. It ends up being dry chicken. No flavour. Yuk.
For a while I only ate Vegetarian Pizza's from the pizza shop. But when I moved to the country - the toppings on vegetarian pizzas is pretty pathetic. And because I don't do Olives or Mushrooms -it pretty much just consists of a bit of Capsicum and onion. lol.
I've never made my own pizza bases. But I did used to make my own bread for many years. I loved it. I think the kneading of the dough is really therapeautic. Depending on your mood - you can take out your frustrations on it - or it can be quite meditative.
As my son has gotten older and wanting bread 'like normal people eat', I rarely bake bread anymore.

Haha good call on the "no olives" @utopia
I'm not with you on the bread though - nothing to do with regular loaves of bread near my pizza unless it's lunch time. I'm quite particular about when sliced bread is boring vs good after far too many packed sandwich lunches.
The trick if the chicken is dry is to add more bbq sauce 😉 But then I don't even mind dry chicken so I'm a lost cause there.
That's a shame about the veg pizzas in the country. Capsicum and onion are good but a bit bland on their own.
Making your own bread sounds challenging. It's cool that you kept it up for so long before. I'm sure your son will get fed up with the store bought stuff eventually once fitting in doesn't rely on having a normal boring looking sandwich. Let me know if you whip up a loaf and need help eating it (as long as it fits within appropriate bread-time situations) 🙂

Sounds good, thanks @utopia.
I'm just going to stick with leftovers tonight, no idea about what I'll make on the weekend. The dahl sounds good.
Hope you had a good night.
