Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

@MissGremlin I hear you hun, it's honestly so unfair that the systems are set up in such a way that means you have to go through all of this just to put a roof over your head. Totally legit that you are doing whatever you can to keep your head above water.

More Buffy tonight? When you finish s3 usually, do you start weaving in episodes of Angel so it's 'chronological' or do you just binge one then t'other? 😋

Re: Battles

@Jynx things are just going from bad to worse 😞. I'm not coping at all and it's getting scary, i don't like where things are currently sitting (I'm safe for now). I know i have to be careful of what I talk about on here which makes it hard but at the same time I'm trying to not sit alone with everything. I'm really hoping that the mental health team contacts me soon (my doctor was hoping they would today given how urgent things are) and that my counsellor has some options when I talk to her on Friday morning.

I watch them alternately so one episode of Buffy and then one of Angel until Buffy finishes and then it's just Angel.

Re: Battles

My apologies @MissGremlin I'me just seeing this now. I won't get home until 7 because of bowls training, but I'd love to have a sit and a chat and a drink then?

@NightFury it's ok sweet. If you want to tag me when you are home and if I'm around we can have a drink and a chat then.

@MissGremlin 🤗

I have some Dare Iced Coffee I am currently drinking - because I still felt hungry after dinner. I have no idea whether or not it will keep me awake later at night though 😬 sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't lol. 🤣

Re: Battles

Ahh I still need to buy a pack of them to try @MissGremlin ! I'm just really curious. 😛 If I didn't like them (or didn't want them because of the sugars - issue for my insulin-resistance) then I could always donate the rest of the packet to the local food pantry or youth centre, etc etc.

I did buy myself some sachets of the Arkadia Chai Spice powder the other week from Woolies, because they have a low-sugar version of it. 😍. I don't like real chai (i.e. tea leaves), but this specific powder blend I like. A number of cafes around me use it, which is how I first tried it and asked which brand it was. So now if I'm at a cafe and they use that brand I know it's OK for me flavour wise (even though cafes don't do the low-sugar version).
