Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

@NightFury i hear you sweet, it definitely sounds like it's been a big week. Have you got anything on for the weekend?

Today has been hard, I'm trying my best to keep pushing through (I'm safe).

Re: Battles

Sorry that the clinic did not accept your referral @MissGremlin,.. I can't remember, or maybe I never knew which state you are in, but in NSW you don't need a referral to go to Safe Haven, you just rock up. It's not a medical clinic it's a specific space for people to feel safe and there are peer workers there if you want to talk to someone. There is information about different services and I think they might have some other allied health services or at least information about them. I went to a talk there from a person with LE of suicide attempt, but it wasn't fully open and I have been back, so I'm not sure what they have, but you can definitely just walk in.

I don't have anyone i'd feel comfortable enough with to talk to them about this stuff. But I am used to do things by myself as I've always been alone.

Thanks for chatting, even though you only have a couple of drops in your cup and I am honoured you have shared them with me

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin Read. That must be so painful. I hope the in-between years were full of good memories though.

And I am so proud of you for removing yourself from that initial situation! Not easy!

I wish there was something effective I could offer you to help you in your pain today, tonight, tomorrow.

If there is, you know you can ask/say (obv within the site rules lol) 😊

Re: Battles

It will be a busy weekend @MissGremlin and after a busy week there are some things that I wish I hadn't committed to.

Do you have plans for this weekend?

Re: Battles

@Till23 I'm in South Australia, that's what this clinic is but they offer other services aswell. They are only open though certain days/times so it's not overly helpful and the 24 hour one is not close to me so that's not an option either.

Well I'm always here to listen sweetheart, i know it's hard sometimes in this space to talk about things though. I know how hard it is to do things alone.

Awww you're so welcome ❤️.

Re: Battles

@AlwaysMyself i should have never gotten involved with him but i left one evil for another that at the time I thought was better but it cost me everything. Times like this i have to remind myself that I was very much in survival mode and doing what I could to get through but it hurts that I can't change things now and I despise myself for ever letting things happen.

Tonight is already hitting hard so I'm not sure how tomorrow is going to go (I'm safe).

I'm feeling so overwhelmed right now, the kid next door is on her trampoline so she's being noisy, the trampoline is squeaking with every jump and the parent is whipper snippering right against the fence. It's all too much noise at once when I was already in sensory overwhelm. I have my ear buds in but it's not enough to drown out the noise.

@NightFury i hear you sweet. It really sounds like alot for you after a full on week.

I don't have any plans, tomorrow is a bit of a trigger date for me so I'll be staying connected here and trying to keep busy.
