Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin I can relate to that feeling...

Back to @tyme's suggestion...

One thing I'm grateful for this morning...I'm grateful for morning walks with my dog. Even if it is only 0.7 degrees and super foggy. The cold and the movement clears the head a little.

What about you? What's one thing you're grateful for?

Re: Battles

@NightFury it's really too early for that 😂. But if i must think of something, I'm grateful that I have Casper.

Re: Battles

He is adorable @MissGremlin. I saw the picture you put up last night.

I have to get to work, but I hope you find good things within your day.

Re: Battles

Hello lovely @MissGremlin

I'm having a busy morning, my little doggy had an accident in the house which was a fun start to the day... He's mostly really good but he just doesn't yet know how to ask us to go outside when he needs to go.

How's your morning going? Did your pup come fully house trained?

I'll be flitting around between a few things this morning but will definitely respond when I'm able 😊

Re: Battles

@Ru-bee oh no. Casper woke me up at 3am this morning making that lovely sound when they are going to chuck up so I jumped out of bed pretty fast.

Casper just seemed to get it with toilet training, where he was they had the door open so they could go in and out as needed. I don't have a door i can leave open but from day one he would go to the back door and bark to let me know he needed to go out. Honestly easiest pup I've ever had to toilet train.

My morning has been a bit rough, kind of had a few moments where I lost control but I've reached out as needed and just trying to make it through each second at the moment.

Re: Battles

What a good boy Casper is @MissGremlin! I'm hoping my Toby can learn to do that in time, for now we're just making sure that we're letting him outside regularly so he's got plenty of opportunity for toilet time haha

I'm proud of you for reaching out when you've needed it this morning, good on you. Like we were saying in the toolshed, it's okay if you're just hanging in there today!

Re: Battles

@Ru-bee I'm sure Toby will learn it in time. Toilet training is crucial for Casper, as he needs do be able to go on command basically being an assistance dog.

Yes I really am just hanging in there today. Feeling a big shift from yesterday, I hate the highs and the lows and how quick you can go between them.
