Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

@MissGremlin

We get load bangs quite a bit down here. It's usually someone letting off a firework or two. Just keep reminding yourself you're warm and safe inside with Casper. Sending a big warm non-touchy hug to make you feel a bit extra safe. Unless you get the vacuum out... then I'm straight under the bed!

@Till23

What and incredibly nice, and generous, things to do for the staff. I'm sure they would have really appreciated it. They probably still tell the story of the really nice patient they had who gave everyone cool socks at the end of their treatment! Although I guess the money also went to a good cause so a double win!!

I wonder if I can find socks with testosterone on them. I can wear them and feel good that I at least have some of it left! 😁

Re: Battles

@MJG017 yeah there's usually quite alot where I am aswell. I'm right across from an oval so there's idiots that set fireworks off there regularly. I'm not normally fussed by it but what happened on Saturday has really had a massive impact on that. Casper was having fun trying to eat my hair and nibble my ears 😂. Thanks for those hugs very much needed, and don't worry I'm not bringing the vacuum out so you are safe. Not even i wanted to deal with the noise of the vacuum today that's why I swept through the house.

Re: Battles

Yes @MJG017 they put a photo of a group of them wearing their socks on their social media page.

I also got them from The Sydney Sock Project

I became know as the sock lady - firstly because I always wore intersting socks to my radiotherapy sessions - one bit of clothing I was allowed to keep on! and then when I gave them the socks. I also gave some socks to the oncology clinic admin as well.

Or you could get the balls one where you make testosterone or you could stretch the pen!s socks and make yourself feel good about that! This post will probably get edited!

@Till23

I got the bum and balls socks. Oh... I didn't think about stretching the socks! I'm definitely going to have to get those now. After being on hormone therapy for over 2years, plus the surgery, it would been a nice boost to the ego! 😁

Re: Battles

Yeah @MJG017 I knew you were on ADT hence my suggestion of sock stretching 😉

Re: Battles

Good morning @MissGremlin doing okay, battling a bit of brain fog and exhaustion. I feel like I'm all fizzed out.

How are you?

Re: Battles

@NightFury hope the brain fog eases up for you. I feel like someone has zapped all the energy out of me.

Here's hoping the day goes quickly for both of us. Sending you hugs ❤️
