Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

@NightFury haha Casper gets bits of my crusts too. Hopefully you find something yummy for lunch.

I have to go to the shops today as for the next 2 days they will be closed. I put a load of washing in earlier which is finished so I'm trying to find the energy to hang that up.

Re: Battles

I did a big shop on Thursday after work @MissGremlin the supermarket was crazy busy and overwhelming.

I have washing from last night to hang out too. The motivation to hang it out is hard to find.

It sounds like you've been busy already this morning.

Re: Battles

@NightFury yes it was busy when I was there on Thursday which is why I didn't get everything i needed.

The motivation to hang it out feels non existent. My bed is far too comfy to leave at the moment.

I put the washing on, fed and took Casper out to the toilet then made a cuppa and sat back in bed.

Yep. I’ll take whatever sleep I can get. Dreaming about diamond art is hilarious especially considering I don’t usually dream! @MissGremlin

Stuffing is made, tomatoes are stuffed. Kitchen and ensuite are cleaned, towels in the wash, the other washing in the line and now I have to do the floors and I’m done! Until I get the washing off and iron it. I’ve just been in the phone to mum for an hour though.

The dew claws hurt. Honey broke hers once and they bandaged it up and then it fell off. She screamed when she done it.

How are you going?

Re: Battles

@Captain24 I'm the same in that I don't dream but rather I get stuck with nightmares. I think I'd prefer to dream about diamond art 😂.

Wow you've done amazing sweetheart. Hoping you can allow yourself to rest for a while now. Hope the chat with mum was good. I remember when I used to chat to mum on the phone for hours on end, do miss those days.

Yes the dew claws are sensitive, but now that it's fallen off Casper is comfortable again and it will grow back in a couple of months. It's horrible when they hurt themselves.

Things are feeling really heavy suddenly, I was sort of feeling lighter before but that seems to have come crashing down (I'm safe). I'm going to lay here and snuggle with Casper for a bit, the washing can wait to be hung out for the moment.

Re: Battles

I’m lucky that I don’t get nightmares. @MissGremlin

I’ve done all the floors now, I even moved all the chairs and stools! So I’m don’t until all my washing dries. Now for diamond art!

The chat was good. I just wanted to see if she wanted the left over mince for her dog and an hour later we got off the phone. That’s my external social contact for the day!

They grow back pretty quickly. They are fine without them and it’s more comfortable. I’m glad it’s hurting him less.

The washing can wait. It’s not going anywhere.

At least you felt lighter for a little while. I’m sorry it’s come crashing down though. Is there anything I can do to help?

Re: Battles

@NightFury would you like to have a cuppa with me?

Re: Battles

@Captain24 ugh what a day and it's still not over yet.

You did so well to get things done, how's the diamond art going sweet?

I had to go to the shops, i got to the carpark and starting having a panic attack, it was completely packed. The line up to go through the checkouts was at the other end of the store, thankfully one of the workers I know noticed me and could tell i was struggling so got me through quickly. Then I got to the car and it wouldn't start. I'm glad to be home now but my headspace isn't great at the moment (I'm safe). I've just sat on my kitchen floor with Casper and I'm trying to work on calming myself down.

Re: Battles

I’m getting there with it. It’s going pretty well. @MissGremlin

Sounds like a really rough afternoon for you. I’m glad they helped get you through. When I worked in retail Easter Saturday was the busiest day of the year, so I don’t go anywhere near the shops.

Remember to breathe and feel his chest rising and falling. Anything I can do to help?

Re: Battles

@Captain24 i would have got the things I needed on Thursday but it was busy then too and then they were closed yesterday. They are open today but then closed for 2 days here so I really didn't have a choice sadly.

I entertained both myself and Casper, I blew up a little water balloon and Casper played with it for about 5 minutes before he finally popped it 😂.
