Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

@Jynx yes! It's actually ridiculous how hard they make it to get the right support. Like I'm struggling enough without having to fight the system to get help. It's exactly why my gp was worried about me trying to get onto NDIS cos he knows how mentally and emotionally draining it can be.

Haha I knew you were going to share that link to the post 😂. It's actually why I didn't say anything sooner cos i didn't want it thrown at me 😂. Like I get it but it's just my brain that jumps to worst case scenario.

Hi @MissGremlin checking in on you super early this morning.

Re: Battles

Morning @NightFury my sweet, I've just gotten up and I'm honestly feeling so out of sorts this morning (I'm safe). I've put the kettle on and I'm going to have a cuppa while I'm having to get things ready. I have the ex coming around today to do my lawns and I really don't want to deal with it.

How's things over there?

Re: Battles

A cuppa sounds good. I hoped you'd be asleep or at least getting some rest when I commented early this morning.

I've had three days of feeling yucky in the belly. @MissGremlin I was awake because of it at 2 am.

And I found out yesterday afternoon that a friend of mine had passed away. He was 93 years of age, a pure gentleman and he took care of me on the lawn bowls green.

Getting up to go to work this morning was hard.

I'm tired, I'm feeling big emotions, and just not feeling myself.

Re: Battles

@NightFury I was asleep when you commented, I actually had 7 hours of sleep which is unheard of for me but then kind of expected after certain events (I'm safe).

Feeling yucky in the belly for a few days would be horrible, hoping it settles for you soon sweet.

I'm so sorry to hear that your friend passed away, sending you hugs beautiful ❤️.

I'll be around today if you want to chat at all, maybe we can have a cuppa together if you are feeling up for it ❤️.

Hope the day goes ok for you.

Re: Battles

7 hours of sleep! @MissGremlin that's huge for you.

My motto for today is to just get through it. I have four days off after today, because of Easter public holidays.

Re: Battles

@NightFury but yet I woke up feeling absolutely exhausted still.

I think that's a good motto for the day and it feels very relevant for me too. The 4 days off sound good though, do you have any plans for the long weekend?

Re: Battles

Yeah, unfortunately we can't "catch up" on sleep @MissGremlin

No plans. I have an assignment to work on. It's not due until the 12th, so it's not a pressure situation. I just want to knock off another section of it. I'm just doing this one bit by bit, otherwise it's overwhelming because it's a big one.

Other than that, I plan to read, rest, watch TV and eat chocolate.

Re: Battles

@NightFury catching up on sleep just doesn't happen, it's frustrating really.

Working on the assignment and taking it bit by bit is a good idea. Those big ones can definitely be overwhelming but it's good that it's not due for a little while still.

Reading, watching TV, resting and eating chocolate all sound perfect ☺️

Re: Battles

Not long home @MissGremlin after spending hours at local MH centre. I currently haven’t got the mental strength to read things and be able to stop the words slicing through me or be left feeling I’m being screamed at (can’t and won’t say anymore). I can’t do it anymore. I’m safe.

taking advice of staff today and putting distance between me and my highest cause of stress, the forums, for awhile.

I need to focus on me and my MH.

i appreciate the chats the last few days, help take the painful edge of things for awhile

please take care of yourself and Casper.

will be thinking of you, until whenever next chat
