I wasn’t sure where to put this:
I am just wondering if they’re are many older people on these forums? Like people 55+ who may have mental health issues going into (or being in) their retirement and how they are handling them.

How are you tonight ? I'm embarrassed to say I went to a cafe and someone said something and we are obsessing over Married at First Sight. Channel 9 seems to have done a great job sucking people in this year .....

Thanks for asking - I am not bad.
I am curious how other people find aging with MH difficulties, because I am currently finding it a bit difficult.
Yes I’m definitely glad I don’t live in USA.
However, living with MH difficulties is still problematic here, especially with the cost of treatments, the stigma, the “aren’t you over it yet” expectations of many people. If your coping strategies over the years have not been ideal etc etc

I'm positive my old friend would agree
But I feel it's taken me years to survive - many years of being laughed at - I get in a good place and I'm .55 years old.
@Till23 I believe you and me like lots of others here in Sane forums have to just accept we are getting older and remembering only the good times.
After COVID things in mh started changing for the positive. They can only get positive because of our stories because of our experiences.
What happened ? My sons turned 30 and 34. Years before I lost them because mum took them when they both turned 15 - I never saw it ..........And I'm getting close to them again but ..........they got older.

Now of course I have new worries of having enough money and feeling of being a bit lost. I used work as a distraction really.

What hobbies do you like , going for a walk, gardening or having pot plants
Jigsaw puzzles , arts and crafts
Have your any furbabies, volunteering
