Coin Collectors' Corner

Coin Collectors' Corner

Hey Everyone!

I thought I'd open this space up to talk all things coins!

I've noticed that we have a few interested coin collectors.

@Mustang67 @Harmonium @Shaz51 @Snowie Feel free to tag anyone.

I'm a bit gutted that I missed out on the Bluey coin collection. I was waiting eagerly for it 😞

Re: Coin Collectors' Corner

@TAB I remember years ago that my mum collected coloured $2 coins, and I swear I gave her a couple. Lol

I was lucky enough to win a 2012 red poppy, but a bit of the colour has come off. The grading place have said it's from a wheel mark. So not sure if this makes it more or less valuable.

@TAB I used to work in accounts for a law firm and would go to the bank everyday. I wish I knew about coin collecting back then, as I was friendly with most of the tellers. I could of gotten so many coloured coins. Lol

@ENKELI The cheapest 2023 $2 50th Anniversary of the End of Australia's Involvement in the Vietnam War "C" Mintmark Coloured Uncirculated Coin in RAM Card that I can find available is $55.00. If you click on the link it will take you straight there.

Re: Coin Collectors' Corner

ok @Mustang67 I just put magnifying glasses on. The coins I found are:

2020 $1 donation dollar

2024 $2 Olympic Team

2022 $2 Socceroos

Re: Coin Collectors' Corner

@TAB The $1 donation coin had 12.5 million minted in 2020 and 12.9 million minted in 2021, so unless it's in really excellent condition, it's probably not worth much.

The 2022 Socceroos $2 coin only had a mintage of 1.5 million, so that is definitely a keeper and needs to be placed in some sort of protection.

I can't make out what the coin at the back on the right is. Can you send me another photo of it please, or just let me know what the coin is for and the year.
