I rarely do the public dawn services. I Just keep it quiet and reflective for me, respecting my feelings and memories and the general mood. I had to do a lot of grief work early on. Sometimes I might just play Last Post. Yes, it is hard to know what will be helpful and what might retraumatise us.
I am sorry you became triggered. I hope you find a way to honour the day in the best way that is gently healing for you.

@REDLINEZ750 That is my favourite coin in my collection. It is also the heaviest weighted coin that I own, being a 2oz Silver Coin. I only own two 2oz silver coins and I won the other one. So as you can expect it is also the most expensive coin that I own. I love butterflies, and as soon as I saw it, I just had to have it, But because I live in a caravan park in a cabin, which the management and cleaners have keys to, I don't want to display it and risk it being stolen. So currently I don't get to look at many of my coins. But I do have this one on display.

I am sure throughout what has been my very long journey, I will find a way that works for me. I have learnt a lot within the last 5 years, but I still need to learn more. I am slowly improving. I just have trouble retaining and remembering to use the tools that I have been taught. My social worker told me a few weeks ago, that she is so proud of the progress that I have made within the past two years since I have been seeing her. And when I stop and think about it, I have overcome a few hurdles that I couldn't deal with previously, as I just become overwhelmed just by thinking about the problems and then nothing got done about it.

I just received an email informing me that I was successful in the ballot for the 2025 ‘C’ Mintmark Coloured Uncirculated Coin in Card for 80 Years On: Remembering the Second World War
I haven't been successful in the last couple of ballots, so it is nice to be able to get the coin, and not have to try and find one before it sells out.
Did anyone else enter the ballot?

I see you and @REDLINEZ750 were chatting about your clock coin!! That is so amazing! From someone who knows very little about coins- which coin is this $1,$2 I am thinking it’s small to fit a clock inside 😂 excuse my ignorance re the clock coin haha.
