Time away from forums

Time away from forums

Hi all

I’ll be spending some time away from the forums since I’m not doing so good, no safety concerns, but I think I’m just simply too much for everyone here on the forums. My emotions are too much. May brain is too much. I don’t want to drown people in my pain, everyone is better off with me off the forums. I hope our paths cross again. Will say goodbye and wish you all the best. Sorry for being a pain

Re: Time away from forums

sorry to hear you're not feeling well @creative_writer, it's great that you've got your placements to keep you busy. i find that having a self-care routine each night helps keep me occupied and calms me down - i like watching an episode of sitcoms/comedy shows - do you have a night routine that might help distract you? like phoning a friend, taking a new bath, reading, etc?

Re: Time away from forums

@rav3n I do have a nighttime routine where I get ready for bed, do my skincare and prayers. I think it’s just been harder lately since my body hasn’t been feeling so good. I think something got set off during my last psych appointment on Friday. I think I’ll try to sleep, have to get up early. I wish you a good night 💖

Re: Time away from forums

that sounds like nice routine to end the night with @creative_writer

totally understand that it might not be enough to distract you right now, especially if you're triggered from your psych session. i'm here for you 💓

Re: Time away from forums

@rav3n it’ll pass eventually like it always does, my body is still very tense and I’ve been getting migraines, it’s so frustrating. I’ll be WFH tomorrow, I can’t go in again like this. I was pretty dyregulated, deep breathing, grounding and listening to nature sounds did help a bit while I was there. I also had my door closed for a good period of the time since I needed some alone time. One of my supervisors was away so I was able to take her room.

What I’m experiencing just shows how much trauma is stored in the body.

Evening @Snowie I hope today was kind to you 💖

Re: Time away from forums

How does one release all the built up emotions from the body? I had a very intense period today when I felt self harmy and suicidal but got through it with relaxation stuff. This is not an ideal situation on placement and I don’t want it to happen again. I need to release so much more than I probably even know

Hey @creative_writer ,

When I read your post, I could actually feel the energy building up inside me.

For me, i used to go for runs... or, I'd cry, sit at the beach, do something physically active...

Everyone's different. These are just ways I coped in the past.

Re: Time away from forums

@tyme I’ve managed to release some of it after massaging sore muscles, my back has been pretty stiff. It’s certainly helped with tension and some pain. Though my body still does not feel quite right. Some of the body sensations I’m having are iffy. I know they’ll pass, but it’s disgusting.

I can always trying walking and Pilates or even gentle stretches. Already tried mindfulness exercise earlier this week but it was triggering and my body felt wrong afterwards. Though I’m still able to do other relaxation stuff like deep breathing, grounding, listen to nature sounds and prayers. I was able to de-escalate from suicidal to less distressed while on placement, it didn’t take the pain away but made it more manageable. I can’t remember the last time I properly cried, I think I forgot how to

@Snowie sitting with a bit of unease. I also can’t remember if I took my mood stabiliser, I don’t think I did, but not 100% sure I hope you are doing okay 💖
