First World Problems

First World Problems

So, I'm feeling a bit put out. I have multiple mental health conditions as well as a spinal injury with chronic pain. As a result I am supported by the NDIS. Specifically, in this case, I usually get a cleaning service every 2 weeks to do the things I can't do like change my sheets. I have changed cleaning services a couple of times because cleaning services in particular seem to charge for much more than the time they actually attend. I started with a new service today. I had asked in advance whether they could do the sheet change and they said yes. But the couple who came to actually do the job weren't part of the initial conversation and they seem put out by the request. Once they finished the cleaning service one of them started asking what was wrong with me with a real tone in their voice. I stayed calm and answered honestly including mentioning that I have a spinal injury. They then started asking me how I acquired the injury, etc. The answer is dark and awkward but I explained it anyway. That seemed to shut her down a bit but the conversation was weird and pretty awkward. I'm pretty convinced that I just got deemed unworthy of help. And on one hand - go me - my walking is good now you can't really tell that I have a spinal injury. And on the other hand I feel put out and I want to fire them on the spot but I won't because that would be awkward too. First world problem, I know.

Anyone else got a first world problem for the day?

First world problem is that I need to see the doctor for a repeat script that will take seconds. Hubby is seeing her on Tuesday but they are refusing to let me get it then. I have to go back to Doctor on Wednesday even though I will go with hubby when he goes. Seems a little ridiculous

Re: First World Problems

My first world problem for the day is that I buy steaks in these packets with these little garlic butters but I always take out the garlic butters and nibble them away before it's time to cook the steak. So I always have the steak plain. I need to learn patience, lol.

Re: First World Problems

Hahahaha! I've NEVER heard of that before. I thought it was a done thing that you keep the garlic butter with the steak or chicken etc! @FridgeMagnet

What do you mean "nibble them away"? You mean you use it as a spread for other things? You're not literally saying you 'nibble' the butter, are you???

Re: First World Problems

@tyme I confess that I do indeed nibble away on the butters on their own! They are tasty. Tiny bit at a time 😜.

Re: First World Problems

Oh dear @FridgeMagnet . My head is now heading to 21st Century First World Conundrums:

1) Garlic butter - to nibble on or not?

2) Chocolate - to freeze or not to freeze?

3) Cereal - milk or cereal in the bowl first?

4) Do you brush your teeth first or use the toilet first?

5) Chicken Wingettes or Drummettes?

Maybe I'm just overthinking it....

Any First World Conundrums to share?

6) Bread - refrigerate or store at room temperature. I've had debates about this one. I think room temperature.
