First World Problems

First World Problems

So, I'm feeling a bit put out. I have multiple mental health conditions as well as a spinal injury with chronic pain. As a result I am supported by the NDIS. Specifically, in this case, I usually get a cleaning service every 2 weeks to do the things I can't do like change my sheets. I have changed cleaning services a couple of times because cleaning services in particular seem to charge for much more than the time they actually attend. I started with a new service today. I had asked in advance whether they could do the sheet change and they said yes. But the couple who came to actually do the job weren't part of the initial conversation and they seem put out by the request. Once they finished the cleaning service one of them started asking what was wrong with me with a real tone in their voice. I stayed calm and answered honestly including mentioning that I have a spinal injury. They then started asking me how I acquired the injury, etc. The answer is dark and awkward but I explained it anyway. That seemed to shut her down a bit but the conversation was weird and pretty awkward. I'm pretty convinced that I just got deemed unworthy of help. And on one hand - go me - my walking is good now you can't really tell that I have a spinal injury. And on the other hand I feel put out and I want to fire them on the spot but I won't because that would be awkward too. First world problem, I know.

Anyone else got a first world problem for the day?

My first world problem for the day is my inner shemale wants to play. But where we are is ageism dominated. And real man dominated.

My first world problem for this day is that with my psychosocial disorder I'm told I need to be perception managed. The problem is in the Republic of Victoria if the bosses say it doesn't exist, then it don't. Even if it do. So I don't know where I've been for the last ten years, but I was in the thick of it. And it's O so blique.

My first world problem today is that I have had a shower and now I have no motivation to get dressed. If I don’t brush my hair soon it’s going to be knotty all day

Hey @Oaktree!! Thanks for the tag 🙂

Hope you are all well - @FridgeMagnet@Stout @tyme @OM108 @Jynx

I can relate - I have really thick and longish hair and the knots can be so painful.

My first world problem for today is that my study is also the guest room (and we have my neice visitting) so I don't have my usual dual monitor computer setup so am on my laptop today. Which is fine, it's just not ideal… I'm sure I'll survive 🥲

Re: First World Problems

Lol @Oaktree .I like that one - not wanting to get dressed.

For me, my first world problem is that I had an awesome mont blanc coffee today, and now I'm craving another one!

Hey @FridgeMagnet @defaultusername @Stout @OM108 !

@tyme

I know the feeling.

Tonight I made hot chips from home grown potatoes and they were delicious. I don’t think I made enough

Re: First World Problems

Seeing they were so delicious, you'll never make enough! @Oaktree

Good on you!

Did I ever tell you I grew potatoes from potato skins?

I chucked the potato skins into the garden (for compost) and the next thing I knew, I got all these mini potatoes lol. There were great for salad!

Your home grown potatoes turned into chips sound soooo delish! I feel like having some too!

Well done on making them from scratch - that's HUGE for someone who wasn't so keen on getting dressed lol.

Re: First World Problems

My first world problem for the day is that I was headed to a full service checkout in Woolies with maybe three items when this woman comes out of an aisle with a trolley full of stuff and she RUNS with the trolley to slip in front of me. I was so annoyed!

Argh @FridgeMagnet ! Don't you hate that???

I would've politely spoken to this person 🙂

Hope the rest of your day was okay.
