Re: vitamins
I find that taking St John's Wort and Fish oil, sometimes passionsflower all have a positive impact on my anxiety levels.
I also take a daily multi, vit D and garlic oil.

Re: vitamins
My son was diagnosed with low vitamin D earlier in the year. Initially he was taking it regularly and I noticed he was sleeping better and seemed to be more energetic. After a while he started forgetting to take it so it's not so regular anymore.

Dear JT, if your son's slackened off with his vitamin D, would you feel it would be something you would do.....would you remind him?

Re: vitamins
I actually got myself one of those pill boxes with the daily compartments an put all my supplements in there, so they all get done together, and if I miss a day here and there I can see it, and that motivates me to try to remember them - my biggest problem is sticking them in my pocket to take with my coffee 'in a minute', forgetting they are there and putting them through the wash. Garlic and fish oil jeans... nasty.
I forgot to metnion I also take ginko biloba daily too (ironically it is supposed t help memory, among other things).

I would love to justanother47yr but I can't reliably remember to eat breakfast or buy milk let alone remind someone to take a tablet. We take turns at being each others' carer more often than not.

Re: vitamins
thank you for your comment ;0) On one of the boards....called how to take care of yourself....(??) I've written a small .....long story of my life....asking for some input. It's about going back to work.
the past four years have been a struggle. Mainly because I think, I have been coming to terms with my own story.
when my son, my youngest son recovered from a long illness...I went to see my Psychotherapist and we were discussing how to make all parts of my unmanageable life manageable. so about 4 years ago, I got a lapband. It was awesome but then, my son moved out of home with my Mum and I didn't hear anything from him for one year. Even now, I never hear from him...... He's 20 years old, ... I was going through empty nest syndrome,, because of his illness we were very close....actually too close and we both needed to move on with our own lives.
I just crumbled 4 years ago. I was working as a cleaner part time in a well known hospital and studying nursing, one day I couldn't get out of bed. Out of the blue, my old childhood sweetheart turned up, .".......I started cleaning houses again but my main priority was just getting through. I just didn't want to think about myself. Even after all the years of therapy, I had a thick wall around me.
when we divorced about a year ago, at last I stopped. I had no energy and was and am still very overwhelmed,
I will never regret the lap band. And this year, I started looking at how to take care of myself better. It is like, learning how to take care of myself has come in stages. this stage is looking at my whole self.
The lapband is fine. I am very relieved :0)
Please keep me updated on how your going,
hope what I've written helps,
