@Former-Member

Morning appointment with psych was really tough. She stopped desensitization after about ten minutes because I was too distressed Did have a minor breakthrough - we both realised that I can relax more when listening to relaxation music without commentary or words - haven't been able to relax like that before - nearly fell asleep!

Did feel sick and had a massive headache for the rest of the day.

Saw GPin the afternoon and as usual came out more positive and with a bit of life in me - she's an absolute angel.

Hoping for you it is nothing serious. Easy for me to say don't stress until you find out - know that is difficult, know I would think the worst even if my head said there was nothing to worry about. xxx

Re: Supporting a friend with terminal illness

@Zoe7 It was pretty healthy

I've been to private clinic in Sydney but it was not the Sydney Clinic

I have never been to Cairns Clinic before but they run more exercise programs in there treatment which really appeals to me. I'll have my parents look after her.

I just need a break and I need to be around people too- so going into hospital will give me a respite and I will be connecting with people.

@Former-Member

The people I see are just to say hi to - no more than that at the moment - but that is a big step anyway.

Uncle Tobys hey - that is one spoilt little puppy dog!! (you and Kira have Toby with you too!!!! LOL)

I have thought about the EP but haven't checked it out yet - will do some research before GP gets back.

I actually injured my kneck - not my knee (not sure if I typed that wrong - probably did- sorry if I did)

You did tell me it was a private clininc and what they did there. Sorry didn't mean The Sydney Clinic - just my typing tonight got it mixed up. Sounds like the Cairns Clinic might be right up your alley

What do you need a break from sis?

@Zoe7

Those moments probably make you feel good and connected

Kira loves uncle Tobys she been having it since she was a pup- she had two sachets to herself.

Hope you do some research on EP (taking action for me reduces my anxiety)

I know you had a spelling mistake,I just remember your knee instead of you injuring your neck. Both are not nice injuries.

I'm just trying to make some conversation its hard communicating via messages and I think sometimes things can be misunderstood.

I just need a break, I have two needy parents and I need a break and not looking forward to them getting older because they are both so needy and me being the only daughter puts a lot of pressure on me, and more so I need a break from my depression. I know when I need some extra support and I am not too proud to ask for it now before I would just push on

Kira has passed out again- a full belly and back to sleep she goes.

Re: Supporting a friend with terminal illness

@Former-Member Are you close to joining her yet sis?

My little buddy has just got his second wind - he should start chasing his toys up and down the hallway soon - very cute to watch

I do really need to repair my body physically. I have lost so much strength and fitness and I'm sure that is making me feel even worse.

Do your brothers help out as well or is it just you who gives all the support? It's really tough thinking of the future and what you may need to do with aging parents. Mine are only 70 and 68 but are starting to show more signs of ill health so even though we are not exceptionally close I do worry about how they are.

Re: Supporting a friend with terminal illness

@Zoe7 I'll be trying for some sleep soon

I would love to see Toby with his toys and running up and down the hallway

I hope you can repair your body physically too but it is also very good for the mind too

I'm not sure what else to talk about

@Zoe7

You will get through the next few days- just focus on one task at a time. I am walking with you

Just worry about the here and now and enjoy your holidays as much as you can

I am going to try to get some sleep.

Take it easy sis

Re: Supporting a friend with terminal illness

@Former-Member we are a bit boring tonight aren't we sis

I wish you could see him too. He throws his toys, chases after them, sometimes slides into the front door then you can hear him trying to run but slipping on the floorboards. When he finally gets going he runs to the loungeroom and then jums onto the rug - and starts all over again. Very cute to watch and sometimes really funny when he keeps sliding into the door

I think the physical deterioration is having a bigger impact on me atm than ever before. I have never been off work or unable to do things for this amount of time before. I know how much weight (and fitness and strength) I lost really quickly because of being so sick and that has just added to me not being able to pick myself up as quickly as I have been able to in the past - plus the psych sessions have certainly been a lot harder this time - never gone into it all before.

Get some sleep little sis.Thanks for being with me tonight- it really has helped.

Love ya (and Trouble)

@Zoe7

I am sorry for being so boring too

I feel bad going off to bed and leaving you.

Toby sounds quite the athlete, Kira throws her toys up in the air, everything to Kira is a game even when you try to discipline her - I know who is training who in this household lol

Do you know what your vitamin D levels are? As you age its harder to get vitamin d through your skin because of the damage to your skin. You absorb it better on your torso and probably on your legs too.

Little sis is looking after you xox

Re: Supporting a friend with terminal illness

@Former-Member Little sis is looking after me - love that

Now go to bed! - big sis is now putting her foot down and looking after little sis.

I'm searching for a phone cover then I'm off to bed too - nice clean sheets and a doona cover covered in butterflies (nice and peaceful)

PS It's never boring when we chat - has made my day - as usual xxx

NOW GO TO SLEEP SIS
