@Former-Member

Morning appointment with psych was really tough. She stopped desensitization after about ten minutes because I was too distressed Did have a minor breakthrough - we both realised that I can relax more when listening to relaxation music without commentary or words - haven't been able to relax like that before - nearly fell asleep!

Did feel sick and had a massive headache for the rest of the day.

Saw GPin the afternoon and as usual came out more positive and with a bit of life in me - she's an absolute angel.

Hoping for you it is nothing serious. Easy for me to say don't stress until you find out - know that is difficult, know I would think the worst even if my head said there was nothing to worry about. xxx

Re: Supporting a friend with terminal illness

Glad you are home safely sis @Former-Member Did you take Kira with you?

We had quite a good day. A few little comments and some conversations that started to take a wrong turn - but you'd be so proud of me - I stood my ground and said exactly what I thought of their negativity. Also just walked away and sat outside a couple of times so didn't get involved - their sh*t didn't need to be mine. (Tell you more about it later). Other than that it was a good day - a very long day - am trying to stay awake for a bit longer so I'm not up too early tomorrow - still have Mum's birthday lunch at 12:30 tomorrow to get through.

GP sent me a text for christmas with a photo of her dog sound asleep after a swim at the beach - she is so cute - not as cute as our babies but close! Family was here when it arrived and when asked who it was from I said just someone I knew - didn't want the aggravation. Mum kept pushing it and sister told her to leave it - think she knew but didn't say - maybe she might give me a break re: our relationship now!

As for the Green Bay Packers- wrong team!!! Miami Dolphins all the way - Dan Marino the best quarterback ever (might be a bit biased)!

What time do you start your volunteer work tomorrow? Do you know what kind of work you will be doing yet?

your big sis and Toby.

Thanks for your message sis @Zoe7

Unfortunately no I didn't take Kira but I came home with a turkey roast dinner for her and she was happy about that.

I am so proud you were able to stand up for yourself and I am really proud of you for doing that. The more you do it the easier it will get for you. I have heard it takes a little bit practice.

I am glad you got a message from your GP and its lovely she thinks about you.

I am down at the sanctuary tomorrow, my position is a park volunteer, so I mainly interact with the visitors.I am looking forward to doing my second shift down at the sanutary tomorrow.

I am also thinking of going down to see my brother in the new year when he gets back from the states and before he goes back to work. He lives south west of Sydney and then I will drive back into Sydney and spend a week there and another week on the Central Coast. I grew up on the Central Coast between Sydney & Newcastle.

You both have the wrong team lol. I am a fan of the Dallas Cowboys!! But I do have Miami Dolphin shirt here that I bought from Hawaii. I am looking forward to getting out tomorrow andon Friday night this week I am going into hospital for the night. I am going to have some dinner and watch a DVD. I forgot tomorrow night I am going out to dinner with my parents.....

Lucky Kira - Toby was so tired when we got back from the beach that he took a while to finish eating -little sweetheart has been asleep ever since.

I am pretty proud of myself too. Thought the day was going to end badly but saying exactly how I felt made mum back down a bit and she saved herself by not continuing.

Dallas Cowboys -really????

I lived south west of Sydney for 6 months (St Helen's Park - just outside of Campbelltown)- came back to Tassie after the Port Arthur shootings. Booked my ticket back that week. So glad I came home because that was the year my nan got sick and died! Got to spend her remaining time with her though and was able to say goodbye.

What a wonderful place to grow up - love the central coast -some really beautiful areas.

You're sleep study is this Friday isn't it? Hope you get some answers and some help with your sleeping. Sucks not sleeping - I at least know why I can't most nights - must be so frustrating not knowing!

GP told me I had to go to the Sydney Holocaust Museum. She met one of the survivors who gives talks some Sundays about her experiences. She gave me her book to read. Told her I'd love to go but would have to go over and back on the same day (wouldn't leave my babies) and that she'd have to pay for it LOL. She laughed too.

How long is your shift for? I'm sure you are fantastic with the visitors

You going to your parents for dinner or are they coming to you?

Hope you have a good DVD to watch - I've just got on whatever is on TV - not really interested - too tired to concentrate. Did have some dinner though - I'm a good girl tonight!

Luv ya little sis @Former-Member

I love dogs so much, I am glad Toby enjoyed his walk to the beach. @Zoe7

My brother is a bit further west of Campbeitown, he lives at Cowra. And my niece and nephew and they both have children too, I now have great nieces.

I have only been to Tassie the once it was in Dec 2001. I am glad you moved back to Tassie and got to spend some time with your Nan. I bet she loved having you back.

I will be having dinner down near my parents place after doing my volunteer shift, my shift tomorrow is from 12pm to 5.00pm. I am gonna sign off for a bit, and not sure if I will come back online tonight, even though I start at 12 noon, I will be leaving here around 10am because its going to take over an hour to get there and I will have lunch before I start tomorrow.

Goodnight big sis, sleep tight

@Zoe7 Big sis.I've just walked in the door, a bit tired but okay. I've just feed Miss Kira. How was your day? Not many days left now of 2016.

Re: Supporting a friend with terminal illness

Hey lil sis. @Former-Member Did not expect you home this early. So glad you are!

Lunch was ok. No arguments, no dramas! Didn't think that was going to be the case when everyone arrived late - traffic was horrible getting through the city and people everywhere. (There are pedestrian lights for a reason!!!!) I actually arrived just before everyone else so the anxiety of being late went quite quickly.

I could barely keep my eyes opened but it was a lovely venue. I took a photo of the view from our table - will post later (not sure if there is anything in it yet that can't be shown - need to check).

Was just about to take a few meds to settle and go to sleep - seeing that stupid movie on tv was a bit triggering and being so exhausted I wasn't handling it too well. Now you're home I'll wait a while. You always put a smile on my face

Tell me some nice things about the park - what did you do today, how were the animals (and visitors), were you busy?

Did you have a nice dinner with you parents? How was your mum today?

Your big sis.
