Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

Hello @Anony18, @Maryjune, @Former-Member, @Former-Member , @Determined, @Rose96

my hubby is worried about his lack of emotions today , he says it has been happening over the last month

He is cutting out his meds by half , he has tried this before but has reacted diferently each time

we thought by reducing his meds , he would feel the up and go he had before , but this time seems different

he has been talking about it and i said that I have noticed that this time is different or could it just be his Mental illness that is doing this

Hi @Shaz51
There are well documented discontinuation symptoms from a number of psych drugs; differentiating them from relapse can be difficult.
As they were causing a problem, Mr Darcy's doc discontinued a drug in November, we have been advised it can take 6-8 months for his brain to adjust to not being on it.

Sounds like a big job @Shaz51, no wonder you are feeling tired. My darling and I used to clean some offices and had to scrub walls and floors twice a year, was a big job so dont envy you. No good about the hearing aid.

Hi @Former-Member, how are you and mr Darcy?

One day at a time here for us at the moment, worried about my darling more so than usual. Im hoping its only a cold causing her to be tired but somthing is not right 😟 She had an increase in meds which I thought was a bit premature given the possibility it may be just a cold causing her to be down , this is most likley not helping and will possibly take some time to settle.
