Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

hello @Faith-and-Hope

How is husband today?

How does he cope with taking medication vs his strict health regime?

Hope that you are ok F and H dont usually abbreviate, just dont have the energy today

How did all of your family cope on the overseas flights? Were they distracted by the novelty and gadgets therefore at ease?

I am flying solo and desperately want a window seat.

hope that you are remembering to look after you

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hi everyone!
Sorry I've been off the grid a little lately.

@Determined I saw you're post in the hot chocolate forum and I'm really glad the training days all worked out for you! It's good to know you've got someone there that will help sort days out and things like that.
Please try not to feel guilty about expressing yourself on here. Sometimes you just need to get out how your feeling. There's no judgment here. I know I've said a few things that I'm not proud of, but the way yourself and everyone on here have made me feel so welcome and helped me through some tough times. I really appreciate it! I truly hope things start to look up for you guys soon! It's good that you're trying to focus on the positives, that always seems to help me get a better view on things.

@Former-Member, so sorry to hear about the mouse incident! But glad the rooster is going to be okay. I'm thinking of you and Mr Darcy.

@Shaz51 hoping you and Mr Shaz are feeling a little better. Thinking of you!

My partner has also been refusing/avoiding going to see his psychologist. There is only so much I can say without him getting frustrated.

We are heading to the races tomorrow with friends for my birthday, which I'm a little anxious about. I want to enjoy it, but will be worried about my cherub as his anxiety has already kicked in. To make things a little harder, he normally works until 2pm on Saturdays, so organized to have his shift covered and then found out tonight that that person can't do it. Hoping he will find someone else to cover it! He has been stressing about the day as it is, he doesn't need this on top of it.
He's been having good days lately though, but losing it in the night so hasn't had much sleep.
Hopefully this will turn around soon.

Hey @Rose96
Things have settled probably as rooster OK. Mr Darcy happy to go to scheduled appts, CATT rang and he was able to tell them he was doing OK. From a carer point of view I was really pleased that I coped heaps better than before.
Hope you have a good day out.
Darcy

Pleased to hear mr Darcy doing better @Former-Member and that you feel you managed the crisis ok. I know I find things go smoother for us also if I can hold it together, not always easy though. Glad the rooster survived.

@Determined so thankful that the meds seem to be holding things. Still not sure if meds could possibly do with tweakage but he managed to pull through.
Thinking of you and yours.

Good to hear @Former-Member, meds always seem to be a balancing act, trust you can get it all sorted .

Things are holding steady here tonight, we are going out to a ball tomorrow night which my darling is actually looking forward to. I made a booking for her to have her hair done which she is also looking forward to. Will be nice to dress up and do somthing fancy as a couple.
