Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

Everyone is different - which is a good thing

@Shaz51 @Appleblossom

I would be trying to get my then-h to help me with a child who needed medical treatment - or whatever it was that was necessary - and I would yell at him

Which I see now was a waste of energy

With my mother though - I would close down - if she had a point - whatever she thought - she did feel righteous about it and arguing - I gave up with her

I hope you feel better in the morning Shaz - I hope you get a good night's sleep

I spoke to my ex h today. The one who had ups and downs of his own, but mnages to buy his way out of a lot these days. As my son was moving his gear. FIrst night at home alone since the last time he moved out, but this time he is doing it properly and with some good will. There will be better boundaries for all from now on.

Sorry to hear you had such a difficult day yesterday @Shaz51 I really hope that today is better for you. You carry so much on you shoulders supporting others. You don't have to be the strong one all the time when you are here. We are here for you. Take care darling, I'm thinking of you and sending big hugs xx

Hi @Shaz51 So pleased to hear that you have decided to apply again to be your mums official carer. With your Drs support, and knowing how much you do to care for her, it should be a given. Big tick too for that small but much needed timeout for self care. Good to hear Mr Shaz is doing much better now too. 👍💕
