Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

That actually sounds really healthy @Shaz51

1) That he trusts you and shares thoughts etc re his pain.

2) Its a healthy to be able to say "no" to triggering stuff.

3) Yet still at times we need to make "the connects" re what and why things occur. I am sure watching it with a caring partner would have a lot of benefit for him.

Personally I am glad I saw it and it was not too triggering ... though I am a bit triggered in general lately ...

ITS HUGE IT IS GETTING AIR TIME.

I have not seen other shows and will check if it is worth it for me, or if I have already done enough emotional work on those areas.
