Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

About to go to the shop and get iced coffee, wine and chocolate. And I'm not going to feel guilty, and tomorrow will be a better day. The car was damaged but I wasn't hurt at all, just frustrated, so got off loghtly5

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

That’s where I am at today @Hillsy ..... one of those days where Injust don’t know what to do with myself .....,

Two kidults at home in bed ..... another with disability being bratty ...... hubby lost in his own world and out jogging ......

I have been walking the city streets, now decided to sit down somewhere and have dinner by myself. Some days it feels like I don’t have a family and I am soooo tired of holding it all together ..... but I have to ..... so i will pick up the reigns again tomorrow and carry on again ...... but not tonight.

Tonight I am tired and leaky.

There is music playing near here somewhere ..... it’s nice ..... it’s a beautiful evening ...... too lovely to sit closed in looking at where two dozen sorting boxes have been tipped out all over the house that was clean, tidy, and looking nicely like a home last week.

So sorry to hear about your car. It sucks, and needs to be sorted, but you sound about as out of elastic as I am right now.

Self-care night.

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Thanks @Faith-and-Hope. Yep sounds like I feel. Just no energy or motivation to deal with things right now. Its like I keep going and keep going and keep going, so everyone and the house keeps going. Then every now and again I just fall over for a few days and things get on top of me. I'm think I'm coming out the other side again though so all good.
Sometimes its nice just going out for dinner by yourself. No drama, no hassles, just peace and people watching ☺
