Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

@Former-Member

I would be interested to know how you structure your mood chart.

I really need to do this for my darling but don't know where to start.

Something like this would have been super helpful on the weekend and yesterday. I didn't vet an opportunity to point out some important facts yesterday, I was asked if I had any questions right at the end but my mind was blank by that stage after reconstructing Sunday step by step. Was quite hard. Having a chart would have been helpful. Stuff like tracking prn use which is on an as required basis. (There has been a lot more reliance on prn in recent weeks to get through each day, something I neglected to mention).

My darling does not articulate things either and I am often too scared to contradict due to potential fallout afterwards so get flustered when on the spot.

Ok at the moment thankyou @Shaz51 just updating my pic..

Same words just a little bit of color added. Black and white was seeming a bit bleak, found this pic and it seemed fresh and new 😊

Thank you for checking though, have had a rough couple of days here.

Very nice pic @Determined. Read somewhere that the boys have settled in well at school. Good to know that.

What are your plans? Uni - how many subjects? Work in the pipeline?

Oh, I hope not @Shaz51. Anything that can be done to steady the ship?

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

@soul boys are loving school and teachers are very happy with their efforts so far.

I'm planning to try for 3 subject's this semester (2 days a week) and hoping for 1 x 5 hour shift of work a week during semester (yet to be approved) but starting to second guess myself after the weekend. Have until week 4 to drop a subject if necessary.

Im also doing some volunteering roles around the uni as I can. My councillor is encouraging me to do more of this and deligate some support for my darling. Had a win with that yesterday, went to a professional development day at the uni main campus out of town yesterday while my mum came to visit. They actually enjoyed each others company and darling is planning to invite mum again next week and take her out for coffee. 😊

Hello @soul

I think the things that you can not control is going towards the situation , such as the weather , raining here for the week , so there are jobs that we have cancelled and will have to do them next week

also adding a few outings in the situation , he is sleeping after lunch for the afternoon than wakes up and feels guilty because he has done nothing in the afternoon

I have writting everything down and told him it will be ok but I think he is already overthinking

How are you today @soul
