Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

I thought it was quite helpful @Former-Member, it was for me anyway,

Sometimes it doesn't matter how obvious a problem may seem to me I need to learn to just shut up and listen.

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hi @Former-Member & @Determined,

I have just temporarily removed the post with the working link as I think it would be highly beneficial to repost with a bit of a warning. While I completely understand the purpose and point of this video and your intention (its a great video and very interesting for perspectives on support!) I just think it is important to highlight that the content involved can be seen as graphic and could possibly be triggering to others.

Is it okay if you repost with that warning first?

Appreciate your understanding!

@Determined
Hard to know about Mr D - what I tell treating team vs what he tells them is a little different, I sent in his last mood chart with my notes and they have requested a get together because of this. I think that Dx in the past was an issue due to him not articulating things. I must admit to feeling a weight of responsibility about this.
