hello @Former-Member @Appleblossom @Shaz51 @Determined @Anony18
I am a bit frightened of falling apart in there totally.
I have had many moments at home where I have sobbed my heart out.
A support worker through carer Australia, I think, trys to fill my head with all of this positive affirmations.
She keeps telling me that I have so much potential and blah blah blah
I have told her that my rational mind hears and if I was in a rational state of mind I would readily welcome her words.
However I am far from being in a rational state at the moment. I dont choose hospital lightly quite the contrary actually. It has taken 3 different people to convince me.
So yet again people need to recognise that when someone suffers with symptoms of a mental illness they dont need to be told that the sun is coming up tomorrow, or how self-aware they are and they just have to believe in that.
We already know that!! we just need to breathe. just a hug please. talk normally to us.
Darcy your response is brilliant. Direct and not fluffed up but still sensitive and so supportive.
Thank you
ps. I am not directing my vent at anyone on this site - just in the real world. hoping also people who dont have an illness can think about this with the person they are caring for too. we want reality.
hope I havent upset anyone
