Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

Whatever it takes @Former-Member, laughter is a great coping mechanism, stress release... that's why I watch a lot of comedies 👍

One of my uncles had a hip replacement and was on his feet out of recovery. That was ~8 years ago.

Can't remember the last time I had a genuine laugh. It does help though. Will have to try harder.

" My feelings would be completely submerged if I didn't champion them and this at least makes me feel like they are there and are being recognised (even if sometimes just by me 😉".

@Sanatorium
Found this to be so true. I often remind Mr D that he is my beloved and will throw in a few direct things as to how he can earn brownie points. He is not good with subtle hints.

@Mandy1 @Kreagor
How are you going?

Thank you @Former-Member

Last night was nice but Mr shaz`s EX was there as she is D1 mum , she came up all the way -- 16 hours to be there

we sat at the table with D1`s MIL and FIL and Di and her Partner and then D1 mum came over and sat down with us -- sooo uncomfortable for Mr shaz
