Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

Hi @Former-Member, mr shaz 4 children have inherited Depression like their dad Mr shaz , so D1 had enough when we arrived back in cairns and she had to drive 60 kms to drop us off at home

I said to her to come inside and have a rest before she drives another 40 kms to get to her house but she said no

she did text me to say she was home and she was in bed xx

@Determined

Mr D picked up a little yesterday and a bit more today, think the pain levels have gone down a bit - he still has one step down in pain meds this week and off them next week - with each drop down he has had 2-3 days high anxiety, howling loudly at night with his ruminations becoming more historical (yes hysterical + historical). The other side effects from the pain meds are not so pronounced now but are still there. He is back to his support group tomorrow which will help as it gets him out the house - I think he is quite bored. He sees things that need doing and it upsets him that he cannot get out there and do them.

The cattle went back to their owner today who is looking after our steer until he goes into the freezer in January so that is a load off my mind. Not only did we have the great escape but another day one of the heifers got a bit feisty and I felt a bit scared around her.

I reckon if we had one of the mowers it would still end up at the repair shop more than usual @Shaz51
