My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Hi everyone too ... i just read over today’s thread here and agree that medication and symptom monitoring sounds like a good idea - Ms M has never really done this and since recent hospitalisation she has agreed to give it a proper go ... of course today there was vomiting and head ache - I hope it’s a fleeting side effect of new med combo and withdrawals from removed meds - still only in week three of new meds

Hello @Former-Member

How nice to get your message.......

I'm okay.......a little excited about my Birthday coming up.....Mum paid for me to have my hair coloured and cut today and then me and Mr G took my son out for coffee. We then went to visit Mum.

We went out all day and got home to my friend and neighbour who's son is going feral at her place. She came over to 'borrow money from us and ask me for a lift to the petrol station tonight when she can pay us back. Poor lady.......she is acting very needy but it's almost as if she has NO support....

How are you ?

Looking just a tad glam there @PeppiPatty nice to get a cut & colour.

Hoping Mr D not headed for crisis again here @PeppiPatty but otherwise OK. I feel very blessed that I have support.

I think that it's important that we stay positive and keep

"An open breathe of fresh air calmness ," around our support figures and lots of positivity.

My poor friend and neighbour becomes very negative easily and she kind of......comes over just begging for money and trying to convince me that she is doing the right thing.

It's very difficult because her youngest son has always taking up all of her time and energy and her oldest son has missed out on her attention. This is something that I relate to but it's so sad seeing her struggle with it because she finds it difficult not to stop blaming herself for her adult son's issues. HEr youngest son has bi polar and is experimenting with ice........

I feel so sad for her ........ what is the answer?

She constantly keeps on putting herself is very difficult positions. It is so so sad.

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Wise words @PeppiPatty

Your neighbour - drugs are a curse and I am so very grateful Mr D has not got into them. No easy answers I guess it is back to basics - boundaries, self care etc for her.

No one enjoys being around people who are constantly negative. I am trying not to be like this. I keep my mouth shut a lot more than I used to. I think that is where the forums come in handy for venting but we need to remember to add in the positives too.

On that note we saw GP about pain relief yesterday, one of GPs strengths. We now have a good plan in place, stopping the med that seemed to be causing anxiety to spike and I am hoping that we are tapering Mr D's meds smoothly enough to match natural healing and that things will start to pick up.

Hoping you have a fab birthday PP.
