Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

Haha, you guys ❤ Some people are so resistant to medication.
My last night staying with mum, 3rd night since being discharged from hospital (2wks). 10pm I noticed she'd forgot her night pills (a sleeper & antidepressant). 10pm she was reading in bed so when I went to say good night & reminded her to take her pills. "I'll decide when and if I take my pills thank you very much!!" she growled. I reminded her stopping the antidepressant s suddenly could cause her to feel ill. She said "are you calling me mentally I'll" she protested. I said "no, just noticed you forgot and I'm going to bed now, night"

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

(non existent) therapeutic alliance between patient and treating team. sure is @Former-Member, but Mr shaz thinks they are no help anyway so he cancelled everything ages ago

Thank you @Former-Member all thise suggestions are great and I will keep them handy and I will keep suggesting to mr shaz to see the doctor again , but at the moment " He thinks he is doing very well on his own "

Hello @Faith-and-Hope, @Former-Member, and thank you @Determined

It is hard when parameters are not easily measured as they are with other fields of medicine @Shaz51. Trust is such an important part of the equation.

probably far more than you give yourself credit for...

I have noticed that you have grown incredibly on here....helping others added with the support of others...

so lovely to see....

observe how people blossom and become stronger...so encouraging for us others who are still struggling
