Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Thankyou @Former-Member

Had a positive meeting with a university councillor this afternoon to discuss work load/ balance and study plan and she arranged a referral for me to seek some carer support (councilling and mi education) with a community organisation. Looking forward to seeing where this leads. First meeting is in a couple of weeks so a case of wait and see if they can help.

It will mean more travel (2hr + round trip each time) but will be worth it. The hardest part for me is always first contact and that was done for me so 😊

Trust all is ok for you and mr Darcy.

All the best for mr Shaz app next week. Hope you can get some answers and required support for mr Shaz.
