Hi @Shaz51

How are you today? I trust things are a little better for you and Mr Shaz
Yes work is important but you cant work if you don't look after yourself first. It is a tough one.
I put work ahead of addressing my health issues and regret it.

Also hard having to look after mum. do you have anyone who can help with that?
I have also been in a position when my mum need a lot of love and attention at a time when our own family was in crisis and my siblings all vanished and didn't want to know, its tough and I still resent that more than a decade later 😞 (If you asked my mum today she would tell you that I was the only one she didn't see)

I really trust that you can find the strength to work thorough this and that you can both get the support that you need.

And never mind the ranting, sometimes that's what we need to clear our mind. better out than in 🙂

Hi @Former-Member

Thanks for your thoughts,
Uni has gone well for me with uni so far. I was able to talk to my Lecturers after the first class and they are most accommodating and we will be putting a backup plan in place in the event that things go down for my darling so that I can manage both. The level of support offered has been humbling.

I was quite worried about my darling yesterday morning as it was the first day that I was to be away from her all day(6am till 4pm) in a while and she was getting quite anxious about it. thankfully she was able to manage with some baby sitting from Nanny while she cleaned and actually finished the day happy and confident. had a pdoc review also in the afternoon which went well. We just need to work on expectations and balance so that life does not get too overwhelming for her.

Re my concentration? I just need to find some routine and work on it. (Also expectations and balance)
It does help that the the subjects this semester interest me a lot unlike some of the bureaucracy we have to learn 🙂

I trust things are going well for you and Mr Darcy and things are settling for you both.

Hey @Determined

Good to hear things went well. My work have been understanding too. There are still times I struggle with concentration, particularly if there is something troubling me.

Like you, I am still learning balance, reducing expectations etc.

Take care

Darcy
