Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

@PeppiPatty

I did not say stopping smoking causes psychosis, perhaps someone else did. Smoking has an effect on some medications (as does alcohol) so doc needs to know if a patient quits as, depending on the drug it can either:

(1) induce a drug - this means it makes it go through the body faster so if a person stops smoking it means the drug stays in the body longer, this means they might not need quite so much and/or could be getting more side effects ie sedation, tremor, this is the case with most of the antipsychotics, insulin, some pain relief meds etc.

OR

(2) inhibit a drug - this is the opposite - smoking can cause the drug to stay in system longer meaning that when smoking is stopped the meds leave the body quicker meaning a patient might need more to get the same effect, this might be the case with beta blockers. Possibly with lithium, indirect - recommends blood levels be checked.

Good morning @Shaz51
Do you feel you don't get any leisure time without Mr Shaz?
Something I thought of after reading @PeppiPatty's comments and wondered if she was feeling that way

@Determined do you find when things are not in crisis that you are able to do things without your darling?

It is something I have become aware of now the need for 24/7 watch is diminishing and I am finding I want to get back to pursuing a couple of my own interests that Mr D does not share (he has never stopped me from doing them), just finding it hard knowing how to ease back into things.

Brilliant, thank you. Iv'e favourited these lst couple of meesages from you and will read and re read until it sinks in......

Yeah, no lesuire time without him. It is how it is. But he compliments me as well. Mr G and me get along very very well....it's these hiccups that both test you and : either motivates you to stay together or drift away. You can work on yourself and see what you can do better or....not. It's up to you.

My choise was and is to be with Mr G. I put a restaining order on him so I even had two years to be married to him and work out whether I wanted him in my life or not but the answer was that we are perfect partners: We love each other and we are very motivated to be together.

But it can be difficult. For instance: Every time I go into Office works: a printing place that I get my artwork and papers photocopied from the internet, I am usually tlaking about how I am and they all know me and adore him too.

I think...'What if I was single?" I'de go to this wonderful prize I've won: go to an expensive resturant and show alone...it would be awesome !! I can breathe well. I wouldn't be suffocated !

But what would I miss out on ? No one to just know me and know what to speak about. I am with someone who has given up SO much to be with me and he works so Hard to stay with me. We even are going to couple's therapy just to shave off the edge bits. our Therapist gets us both. He fumbles a little: we fumble a little but we get through and we show him that two people can work together.........

Sorry for this monologue........

I like writing to you
