Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

Hi @Shaz51

I'm thinking about you and your husband.

It's really hard on these days.....

Hello @Determined, my name is PeppiPatti,

How are you? I am on holiday down South in Western Australia. For the past 6 days, I have spent asleep winding down and occasionally been on here winding down and soing my Take 5 puzzles too.

Every day I go to spend time writing on my novel and I'm too tired to do any on it...Fortunately, I have done quite a lot already..I take my notes to a professional and I have two pages done properly. My Mum has just decided to see me about getting notes written up as well and that is going to save me a lot of money.

I work a little but I'm too strung out, too burnt out, too stuffed from hard work and caring for my son from cancer and my husband.

Have you written about yourself ?

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hi @Shaz51

Hope Mr Shaz settles soon.

Have been feeling a bit flat myself today. Mr Darcy has a pdoc appt tomorrow and there a few observations I have made recently which are of concern that will need to be discussed. Mr Darcy has been busy mowing today.

As I have had to support Mr Darcy through a couple of treatments that I have not quite understood and two that I was not happy with at all I can empathise with @Determined and hope that no matter the outcome of today's appt that he will be at peace with any decision made and that it will result in a good outcome for his darling.

Some of the emotions I have around the treatments that Mr Darcy was given are still unresolved and are weighing on my mind; I am no longer angry with the treating team but cannot discount the differential Dx and the poorer prognosis if the current diagnosis hypothesis does not prove correct.

Think I need to look at some comedy on YouTube to lift my spirits - perhaps some Michael McIntyre.

Darcy
