Oscillation between two mind sets

Oscillation between two mind sets

Sometimes I feel like I’m on top of things and don’t feel like my trauma defines me and I don’t feel so ashamed and scared. Other times I want to hide from the world and feel like a **** (I’m not going to say the word here since I don’t want to trigger anyone) 😭, I feel so ashamed that I don’t want people to know

Re: Oscillation between two mind sets

I don't think you're a failure @creative_writer. It's not a sign of weakness to be affected by the actions of others. Your feelings are a reflection of your own experiences and emotions, and acknowledging them doesn't mean you're letting anyone "win."

It takes immense strength to confront and process the impact of hurtful actions. Your emotional response is a testament to your authenticity and depth of feeling. It's okay to feel upset, and it doesn't diminish your resilience.

Consider this: allowing yourself to acknowledge and navigate through these emotions is a powerful step towards healing. It's a process that can help you understand yourself better and, in time, find ways to move forward on your own terms. 💜

@lavenderhaze, I was in a bad place yesterday so went to bed early. My mood has been chaotic ever since I came back from holidays, it’s amazing how disruption in sleep can lead to so many problems. I’ve been trying to keep things from escalating too much but sometimes they do get a bit out of hand. It’s concerning that I’ve had to take more PRN since mid Jan, that I even lost count. Trauma issues do flare up when I feel a bit more unbalanced

Huh @creative_writer do you think that something has changed, or feels different after you got back from hols? Yeah sleep interruptions are garly hey. Really has a huge knock-on effect. You spoken to your psych/gp/pdoc or whomever about your prn?

@Jynx, I was really sick when on holidays and couldn’t sleep properly while away. Things have felt less balanced since then. I probably should’ve taken my sleep mask, more pain relief too. I can call up my pdoc tomorrow when they are open, I got the new referral from my GP recently

@Shaz51, I’m tired of having physical health issues 😫. It affects your MH. I felt so weak after my blood test today.

I hope you are doing well 💖

My head has been so sore this evening and I don’t even know if I should take pain killers since my stomach has been tender 😩. I feel like my life isn’t going right at the moment. I can’t forget what I don’t want to remember

Re: Oscillation between two mind sets

Ohhh @creative_writer I hate that, catch-22 about whether it will make things better or make something else worse. A tough choice. Would the potential tummy issues be worse to have to deal with than the pain of the headache?

Things have been super tough for you lately, and I'm sorry that it's so tough. Here till 10 if you want a (brief) lil chat 💜

@Jynx, they say the gut is your second brain. I’ve noticed myself feeling headachy when my stomach isn’t feeling so good. I can try another migraine pain relief meds but there is no guarantee I won’t get agitation like I did from meds in the same class. It’s hard 😔
