Sometimes I feel like I’m on top of things and don’t feel like my trauma defines me and I don’t feel so ashamed and scared. Other times I want to hide from the world and feel like a **** (I’m not going to say the word here since I don’t want to trigger anyone) 😭, I feel so ashamed that I don’t want people to know
@Zoe7, my stomach has been sore today so it’s been annoying in that sense. Even though I know I’m the reason why it’s sore. I should’ve known better, my stomach is generally very sensitive. Just three days to go.
I am happy to hear you had an enjoyable days with the kids. Time does indeed fly by so quickly. Kids grow up so fast!

I don’t feel like talking to my supports about what I did. I don’t want to sound stupid

@Jynx, I allowed my emotions control my actions and now I’m paying the price for my mistakes. I can’t afford to repeat those mistakes or there will be worse physical health consequences. I can’t say much on here. I’m okay though, I’ve been advised not to do it again

That's super rough @creative_writer I'm sorry things are so heavy for you right now. Anything I can do to lighten your load?

@Jynx, I just wanted to numb the pain. This route isn’t a viable option. I guess I just have to sit with it 😔

Sitting with things can be tough for sure @creative_writer but also a good skill to practice. To accept things as they are, and know you are still worthy despite what you or anyone else may think.

@Jynx, I feel like my brain is fucked up. I am beyond exhausted. I just need someone to tell me the trauma never happened. I feel burnt out from a long year, I haven’t been well physically (that affects my MH), I am finding it harder to shake off the memories. And now I can’t take my pain relief for migraines because my stomach is too screwed up, so I guess I have to sit with physical pain too

@creative_writer heavy feels. I wish I could tell you the trauma never happened, but I'm not sure it would have the effect you desire. I can imagine you're feeling the effects of burn out on top of everything else, which is really rough, and takes time to recover from. Adding physical insult to mental injury with your pain levels is also really hectic. I'm not surprised you're feeling so low.
Is there one small act of kindness you can do today? Be it for someone else, or for yourself? I always find it helps to lift my spirits a little.

Re: Oscillation between two mind sets
@Jynx, hmm, maybe give a hug to my sister.
It is multiple layers. Trauma, exhaustion, physical health-migraine, stomach pain and I’m also feeling congested. I also had a minor disruption in circadian rhythms a couple of days ago, even small stuff like that can make things harder with a mood disorder like BP. I’ve definitely been experiencing more agitation. My weakness is I can be quite reactive, when too overwhelmed I react on emotion rather than rationality. Otherwise I am more calm and collected
