Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

I understand @Zoe7 and completely agree. Same here, re our furbabies.

Re: Far and Away

Hearing you too @Former-Member 👍 for our fur babies

Tobes is still asleep and doesn't look like he is going to move anytime soon - he even stayed on the couch when I went to the loo - which is so unusual - he really must be buggered!

Cat is outside in the dog kennel. She has been spending most of the day and evenings in there. I have had to get her out myself a couple of times to bring her inside - it seems to be her new favourite spot. There is a cushion in there and she looks really cosy. She used to sit under one of the trees but that has grown a lot so looks like the kennel is her new spot.

Hi @Zoe7 @Former-Member I'm too tired to say much, but I thought you might like this.

My cat Minx puss was 14 when I lost her too (heart-breaking).

Re: Far and Away

awww thank you @Adge I love giraffes and that image made me smile - you are one thoughtful finch Sorry about you Minx too - it is heartbreaking when we lose one of our fur babies. I sometimes wish I did not have mine so I would not have to think about losing them but then the joy they bring is impossible to quantify. It hasn't been long since you lost your birds either so hoping you are coping okay with those losses - it is not easy that is for sure.

Re: Far and Away

Thanks @Adge ... yes I do like your giraffe photo ... very much. When I say we miss and rely on our furbabies so much, I should also add that our feathered friends are pretty awesome as well. I have budgies myself, keep them in a large outdoor aviary. Nothing like your lovely collection, but they are still beautiful. I often go in there and some of them come up and settle themselves on my arm or my shoulder. Really sweet they are. I know you would still be really feeling your recent big loss. My heart goes out to you.

Heading off to bed soon, so will say good night @Faith-and-Hope @Zoe7 @Shaz51 and others. Its been quite an upsetting and worrying afternoon and evening for me and hubby here. Its related to our upcoming WA trip to visit hubbys family, including his dad. Hubby has a younger brother in WA too, who has bipolar. Diagnosed many years ago, after first thinking it was scizophrenia. Sadly he has wound up in hospital in Perth tonight, after being transferred from his small country hospital an hour East of Perth. He remains in ICU. Been difficult to obtain information so far, and unable to speak to him personally. Really dont have a great deal of information other than that he apparently had a fall last night, was on the floor for many hours and was only discovered late this arvo. Seemingly his kidneys have shut down from being on the floor for so long? He will therefore be on dialysis for 24 hours. We dont even know what injuries he has at this stage, but there must be something more we dont know about. The dont keep you in the major city hospital's ICU for that. I guess our upcoming trip is timely in more regards than just to visit his very elderly and frail Dad. Hubby is really concerned, as am I. Had thought something was wrong when we did not get his usual daily phone call. And when we tried to ring him, there was no answer. We'd put it down to the likelihood that he was in Perth to visit his dad, as he does once a fortnight. But no ... it sounds like he was probably lying on the floor in his small flat, in serious trouble. Hoping to get more info tomorrow. He has been really looking forward to our upcoming visit. Hope he hasnt gone and done something silly.

Re: Far and Away

Hoping you’re sleeping now @Zoe7 .....

I found I had lost some work from last night when I went to finalise it tonight, after working long and hard on it. I am trying not to be too stressed about it though, because it seems to be that when I re-do it it turns out better the next time around, as if I have grown in the space between ..... a bit surreal, really ..... so I am exasperated in the moment, but the creative progress helps me to get over it.

Well done you on getting so much done ✅

Hugs @Former-Member 💜💐

Re: Far and Away

@Faith-and-Hope @Little help with my kidult Son please. I prefer emails to tx, but he's not replied to the last couple. Just now when I asked (by tx) to check his 'spam' folder he replied "I saw the email but it's too long to just send a short reply to and I don't have many time brackets available for long bits of time"

😭 His uni IT degree career is building websites and he hasn't got time to reply to his mum?😭

Then Asked him if he's going away for this long weekend he said "Not going anywhere or doing anything. It will be good" 😞 (I see, so he does have 'time' on his hands, just not for me 😭)

Why am I so upset that he's getting on with life without me? He breaks my heart. And what if he's inherited the MI - depressed? - how would I know? How could I help? I don't know 😭 How do you be parent to grownups. I miss him 😭

I gotta pull myself together and go week my spare car at 9am 😟 somehow, back later 🌷🦉
