Far and Away

Yeah different to Vic @Snowie We start later in the year and finish closer to Christmas.

It has taken a couple of months to begin improving but I am lucky I have had such great support. I have not been able to do a lot of the things I enjoy around the house but have done a few little things the last couple of days. I am certainly feeling it tonight though so will need to have some rest time tomorrow.

Im glad you've got the support around you @Zoe7 Youcertainly deserve it.

@AuntGlow I don't mean to be disrespective but I don't see any point passing on my thoughts as I have no confidence it will matter. I am sure the changes are difficult for many but for me the bigger issue is the loss of 'community' we once had as a result of multiple re-incarnations of the forum. So many of us had an input into the co-design yet that seemed to be a waste of time with what has happened to the forum since. We wanted to see a simpler, streamlined, user-friendly forum however what we have now is the exact opposite - too hard to navigate, multiple viewpoints, too many categories and inability to 'find' members, threads and conversations ...and if by chance you do find those, it is too much effort to find the latest posts ....it is beyond frustrating, it is a failure on behalf of our members.

I know what you all mean about the changes to the look and feel to the forum's. It's really sad.

But one thing is for certain @Shaz51 you are most definitely wanted, indeed much loved, by all the many members here who have known you. Some for only a short time, others like myself, for many years. We all love and appreciate you both for everything you have given here, as well as just for who you are. You are a very special lady, and I thank you for that.

It saddens me immensely (and angers me somewhat) that you have been made to feel that you are no longer wanted here. Someone who has given so much over the years, should never be allowed to feel that way. I really hope that situation is rectified promptly.

The amount of forum glitches is is big. The loss of many useful functions is also big. I used to like being able to tag people in the recent conversation on the thread, but that is no longer possible.

I am not even getting all my notifications. SO I am glad you were bottom of my list, but first to be replied.

Yes, it is frustrating for the WHOLE COMMUNITY!

SO much for Computer upgrades, says she, who helped do computer upgrades for a Court in 1984-5. Hmmm. It was mainly manually upgrading their huge library of files.

Wonder why I am weary of being sold tekky upgrades.

I do hope the current tek team can fix the glitches, but I am sure quite a few vulnerable people will have fallen off the boat. I feel for them.

@Shaz51 @Emelia8 @Appleblossom It is very hard to see what has happened here and how much things have changed (and not for the better). We have all been here for a very long time and seen many changes over that time ....but the current format/structure is by far the worse we have had. It is not only NOT user friendly but isolating ...and I cannot help but think that those people who really need that help/connection are no longer getting that here.

@Shaz51 There is absolutely no excuse for you being treated in such a disrespectful way. I know I do not know the content or context of the email sent to you but for you to feel as you do, that is indeed a failure on behalf of who sent it (and greater of SANE more widely). You have given so much here and to be made feel as you do is appalling.
