Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Sounds like you're making excellent progress @Zoe7 . Hope you're getting enough rest too.

Have a good day all xx

Hi @Former-Member

I am sorry to hear that you have baby dragon troubles at the moment. It’s awful when they are being like that.

If he seems to be brushing you off a bit, then he likely needs time and space, especially if (right or wrong) he is viewing himself as time poor and (right or wrong) you as a “needy” parent that he has to resist.

Actual time to himself won’t serve him as any sort of break if he is really busy in his own mind. and it sounds like he might be like that, perhaps lashing out because he can’t find a sense of peace and wants to blame someone / something else for that.

I would suggest going along with him so he doesn’t feel you are threatening his time (his baby dragon gold) with something like -

“Can do short emails too.” Have a good week son. Hope you’re well.”

It’s keeping in touch but not actually asking anything of him.

Re: Far and Away

So annoying about your assignment @Faith-and-Hope so I hope the second time around it is quicker and even better. It certainly adds more work onto your workload but it is good you enjoy the process - makes it just that little bit easier to redo.

@Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member @eth @Former-Member @Adge @Sans911 @Snowie and all following along....

I have received a response from HR and have an appointment to see her next Wednesday. I probably won't have any answers about next year straight away but getting the ball rolling early will hopefully help to get that sorted this term so I know what I am doing next year.

Taking Cat to the vet soon - she ate nearly all her breakfast this morning but still not all of it. She is asleep outside in the kennel again - at least it will be easy to get her out of their to put in her carry case to take her to the vet.

The news about Cat is not good. She has a very large lump on her kidney and it is likely to be lymphoma. We have 2 options - 1. treat with medication to help her eat and make her more comfortable for quality of life rather than longevity - or 2. Operate to take out what they can and hopefully it hasn't spread - that may not give her much more time anyway and may be very uncomfortable for her.

As you can imagine I am feeling pretty numb right now. I have tablets to give her for now whilst I make a decision. The vet is going to email in a week to see how she is going and what I decide. I will need to talk to my sister and Mum as the operation would be a couple of thousand of dollars. The cost is not the issue though - I could borrow that off my family - it is more what is best for Cat. I don't want to put her through such a major operation if the outcome would be the same but we also won't know that until they operated on her.

I don't know right now what to do or even how to feel - she is my baby but I don't know what to do that is best for her. ...I can't imagine life without her but I don't want her suffering either. So hard.

Oh @Zoe7 - that's definitely not what you wanted to hear, or be left in such a difficult dilemma. Poor Cat and poor you. Like you, I love my cats feircely, and I worry constantly about Jasper and his poor health (he did a massive vomit last night). My heart hurts with your hurt. Gentle hugs for you and cat 💕💕💕💕

Re: Far and Away

Oh no @Zoe7 , that’s terrible news. I was so hoping Cat was just being fussy with food. Hopefully the medication will make her comfortable enough and give you some time to make a decision without feeling rushed into it. I’m really sorry you got this news 😢

Re: Far and Away

@Razzle @Faith-and-Hope @Shaz51 @Sans911 @CheerBear Thank you for your kind words. As you would expect today is not a good day. Cat ate all her dinner so the medication must be working a little already. I can't imagine life without her but I still do not know what to do. I am definitely leaning towards surgery but also know there are no guarantees with that either. It is all very much too hard right now ....still feeling numb and very much not wanting this to be happening.
