Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Sounds good though @Zoe7
Sounds like a plan of attack indeed 🙂
It's hard that your sister is moving I see. Perhaps it's a chance to foster new connections? I'm not too sure.

Re: Far and Away

Haha @Zoe7, good luck with "Operation Garage" - I'm cheering you on. Glad your sister has offered to help, and Toby walking back and forth following you everywhere 🤣 (love how they do that). Your sister not so close will be unsettling for a while, you might have to schedule in a visit once a week. I went to the chemist and Kmart this arvo too... (love sincrinicity). Proud you didn't give into despair today. I find the subconscious processes things better while physically busy.

My day started off with a lot of tears over anything and everything unfortunately, but made it to a Bereavement support Gp and met some lovely people.

Hi @Zoe7 👋 💜🦋💕

Hearing you ..... love that Operation Garage is up and going, but sad that your sister is moving that little bit further away and it’s distressing for you. Hugs Hon 💕

I am working back at the library so I can’t stay just now, but I will come and go a bit with the forums tonight, so I am “around”.

Re: Far and Away

@Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member @MDT Had a shower, headed to chemist, supermarket and Kmart and came home to eat (very late but that has been my day). Meds all sorted for another week and food for a couple of days. Didn't do a big shop because I really didn't have the energy. The storage boxes I was going to get from Kmart weren't in stock so that has set me back a bit. I will head to BigW in the morning as they have some the same size - a little more expensive but need them for tomorrow.

I am really pleased you made it to the Bereavement support group EOR and even better that you met some lovely people. You are making connections in your new town and that is wonderful to hear

@MDT I like having my sister close and our relationship has improved over the last couple of years. I am really going to miss being able to call in or her call in to see me because we are so close. I do not have anyone else in my life I can do that with - been hurt too many times to even think about that with anyone else.

@Faith-and-Hope I hope you have gotten everything done you needed to do at the library and are now home asleep. I have so much to do tomorrow to get the garage sorted out and some of the things I was planning on doing tonight have needed to be put off until tomorrow as well because I couldn't get the storage boxes tonight. It is what it is though and nothing I can do about it until the morning. It doesn't look like I will make it to the beach with Toby tomorrow now but I can't leave things outside until Friday as it is supposed to rain.

Your niece is not eating properly again so that is just one more worry to add to everything else. I have put her bowl in her room and hoping she will eat some more over night. It looks like I will need to take her back to the vet - she has definitely lost weight again and that is a real concern.

It is taking all my energy that I have left not to go under tonight - very much want to sleep but took meds later as I was out so late so they won't kick in for a while yet. Took extra tonight and really fighting the desire to have even more but I know that is not going to solve anything. I can't look after my babies if I am not here so holding them close tonight. Today just sucks!

Hi @Zoe7

Sorry to hear Cat continues to be a concern. Such a worry, poor baby. Can you get her into the vet tomorrow perhaps?

Thats hard news to bear with your sister moving. But gosh .. half an hour isnt far. You may not get to see her as often now, but likely you will see each other for longer, when you do catch up. More of an occasion. And ... There is always the telephone. Really happy for you that you have such a good relationship with your sister. It must be nice.

Hope you get some sleep soon.

Re: Far and Away

@Former-Member I don't like to stay at her place long - especially when her partner is there - there is so often tension that makes me uncomfortsble - that is why her being so close is good - there cn be more frequent visits for shorter lengths of time. She often comes around with her dog on the weekend when she has been out shopping or getting coffee as well but doesn't stay long then either. I know half an hour isn't but I can also expect my mother will expect a visit at the same time as she will only be 5 minutes from my sister - so that is yet another thing to deal with. I don't visit my parents much - mainly special occasions - again there is too much tension usually for me to deal with. Families are indeed complicated!

Hearing you with hugs @Zoe7 .....

Not in bed yet, but getting close.

How do the prices compare for storage boxes from Bunnings ? They have a wide variety of sizes I think, and you might find them on special ? Just a thought.

Kisses for Cat and hugs for Toby. I hope Cat picks up again soon.
