Far and Away

Hey Hon. I was getting a bit worried about you as I hadn't seen you all day. Must have been a super busy one for you @Faith-and-Hope How are you tonight?

It was a lovely thing to do and very much gave me a smile.

No I haven't done anything today but I did cook dinner and haven't slept all day so that is better than the last few days. The next 3 days are supposed to be nice so operation garage will start tomorrow. I'l need 3 days - one to move everything out, one to sort things in the backyard and then one to put everything back in some kind of order. The shelves are already up so the 'putting back in' will be the easy part. Then after I finish that Thursday I can take Toby to the beach.

Thank you @Former-Member I had some nice things said by parents on my last couple of days as well so this today really topped that off ...and I can keep those cards forever as a reminder of both the class and school.

It has just been a super busy day ..... our display work is up and running, and then it was straight into drawing class where I made a work that expressed a lot of my despair about my home and how fractured everything is ..... while that doesn’t make it a great artwork to view, it was cathartic, and different from anything I have done before.

Its become all about finding a voice through art at the moment .....

Yeah I get it @Faith-and-Hope Sometimes it really isn't about the product but the process. So great you can express your pain and frustrations through your work - that will be a reminder down the track of where you were at at this stage also - so definitely worth the effort even if it is something very different to what you would usually do ...after all Art is about expression and finding your voice as you said through your work.

So pleased your display group work is up and running. How did you go at the Gallery getting what you needed for the submission for next year?

Good with the gallery @Zoe7 .... the submission will involve producing more work, but we are up for it 👍

That is really wonderful and positive news @Faith-and-Hope It sounds like you have a great group around you and having everyone on board is a huge bonus. I wish you nothing but goodluck with it all coming through for you all

The most special part is that we hardly knew each other to begin with, but we all pitched in and worked together to get it done, and enjoyed the process ..... you know that feeling of being almost sad that it’s over, but not really, cos it was so much work .... 😏
