I had a lovely present left on my doorstep this afternoon. It was an envelope filled with cards made by the kids I had last term. They were very sweet and must have had a lot of time put into them. Enclosed was a lovely note by their teacher also. It certainly made my day and will be something I will keep for a long time.

That feels like a really nice thing for the teacher and kids to do. Lots of love there @Zoe7 Something to treasure.

Aww thank you @Snowie @Sans911 It was a lovely gesture and very thoughtful. So unlike the year I was first off sick and share the class with another teacher - some of the kids wrote cards to me and she never passed them on - I found them in amongst all the mess she had left when we went in to sort things out in the holidays ...suffice to say it was just another example of what kind of person she really was - the kids hated her and I could fully see why.

It was a lovely surprise @BlueBay I did hear Toby barking when I was outside with Cat but I just thought it was his usual running to the door and making a lot of noise when people walk past. He didn't come when I called him though so I went to investigate and there it was.

Thats so lovely of all the kids @Zoe7 . Definitely a beautiful gesture, and one for you to remember with fondness. And I hope with a great deal of pride too .. because you should be proud of your efforts. Clearly you have touched their lives in a very special way.
